The year that Notre Dame got spanked by Alabama was some of the best schadenfreude I've ever had. Mmmm
Loved that game. ND was only there because the refs helped them beat Pitt and Manti Te'o was an overrated turd who raked up tackles 10 yards beyond the line of scrimmage and had a pretend girlfriend who was more visible in the NC game than he was.

**** Notre Dame and **** Matt Cullen.

I'm pretty comfortable with Alabama being the best team in the country.
But when people will look back at the anals of history, they'll gonna be talking about 3 things - discovery of fire, invention of the submarine, and 2017-18 Chick-fil-a Peach MegaBowl!! 6th PLACE!!!!
If I had to make a list of the top three anals of history it would not included any of those three.
Spelling matters, kids!
The spelling was absolutely correct... ;)

I'm certainly proud that Jay Paterno has nothing to do with Pitt and that is an issue which is far, far, far more important than a game.

Wut r u doin Herm

https://sports.yahoo.com/herm-edwards-a ... 56091.html
Edwards told reporters that, in a team meeting, he informed his players that some might be cut from the team after the spring game next weekend. And that includes players on scholarship.

“There was a message sent, and the message was very clear, that we’re in the process of evaluating the players. Between now and next week you’re going to find out the situation here whether you’re going to continue to be a part of it or not. I told them that when I first took the job and that’s the way to be honest with them. It’s always evaluation. It’s always participation,” Edwards said.

“I told some guys if you continue to stay hurt, continue to stay in the training room, you have no tape. I can’t grade you if you’re not on tape. I can’t grade you in the training room. And all of a sudden some guys got well. It’s amazing. I think college football is one of those unique sports with the fact that you give out 85 scholarships and sometimes I think these players think, ‘well it’s 85 scholarships. I’m good.’ No you’re not good. You’ve earned a scholarship because of your ability to be a student-athlete.

He's going to be dismissed halfway through the season when he violates concussion protocols for the 5th time that game.

The #NCAA playing rules oversight committee has altered the touchback rule.

Kicks caught between the goal line and the 25-yard line can now be fair caught and placed at the 25-yard line.

Hmph, that seems unnecessary...

Rare that a developmental league creates rules that reduce the effectiveness of a position before a pro league does...

It feels like Jalen Hurts has been at Alabama for ten years. Probably because we've seen so much of him in the BCS playoffs.

http://www.espn.com/college-football/st ... pring-game
Alabama coach Nick Saban said he wasn't disappointed by the performance of quarterback Jalen Hurts, who threw for 195 yards, no touchdowns and one interception during the Crimson Tide's spring game Saturday.

Tua Tagovailoa, who is competing with Hurts for the starting job, dressed out for the game but never made an appearance. He broke his finger during the first practice of the spring and further aggravated the injury a week ago.
Surprised they don't just go with Tua moving forward.
