Go back to Leaders and Legends. It was goofy but worked better than this. Trying to separate geographically is the issue. ACC seems to work ok non geographically. As long as they keep OSU/Michigan and Paul Bunyan’s Oaken Bucket intact everyone should be happy.

That said who knows, in a few years the balance could shift to the West.

Nah.

I don't believe Indiana, Illinois, Purdue, Northwestern and Minnesota have been approaching elite in my lifetime. If they have, I wasn't paying attention at the time.

Each of those teams has had like 2 "decent" years since 2000 where they only had like 2 losses, but other than that, they've been relatively mediocre.

Pod system for life:

https://www.sbnation.com/a/college-foot ... ules-plans

Ups gets tOSU, Maryland and MSU every year but plays the other 10 teams in alternating years, 5 and 5.

Pitt gets ND, lville, Cuse and BC every year and most kids get to play a home and home with every other conference opponent the four or five years they are on campus

Plus the standings look better when it's one big list

Old school MLB pennant style and you can still do a championship game with 1 and 2 if you want

100% agree. You need to put it on some sort of rotation. The division system might... might create something that resembles a rivalry, but rivalries develop naturally. No need to try and force them.

And you get everyone every other year. No one can hide like Wisky does now or the SEC East did the last half decade

NHL data is interesting from a Pens point of view. We hate the flyers, flyers hate us. BJs and Caps hate us, they think we care but we don't care

I would agree. But if you have 100 points to allocate, most are going to Philly, at least on average

Probably because they had a roster and coaching staff full of guys that beat them for a super bowl that they went 3-13 with

That was about the most well executed surprise onside kick I've seen.

That was pretty nice...then they turn it back over and give up a TD.
