Well that was about as fun of a game as playing Akron and Pitt was.

After the last couple of weeks, it was nice to play a cupcake again. That said, the team did not look sharp again. Barkley is in serious danger of losing his Heisman. Based on how Mayfield plays tonight, he will likely be the clear front runner again IMO. Saquon is going to be done in by his sht-tier QB not being able to sell the pass.

He, in fact, should not win it....which is too bad for CFB. Pretty much has slid off the plate.

We won a quarter...and we don't **** kids...not bad for the current state of our program...

Sorry, needless cheapshot...but, columbia summoned me to the thread, what was I supposed to do...? I gave in to pressure from an older authority figure...

I think the pressure has gotten to Saquon's head a bit. Instead of doing the things that worked for him earlier in the season, you can tell he's trying harder and harder to dance around and make the big play happen every time. I get that they are stacking the box, but the offensive line has also regressed over the last several games.

All you have to do is watch how defenses handle Barkley. Millen pointed it out perfectly during the game today -- you put a guy on Barkley every time on the pitch play because he can kill you while McSorley can just hurt you a little bit. You pick your poison and I said it at the beginning of the year -- who are you going to pick to stop? Teams have correctly decided to try to stop Barkley and they've picked on this subpar offensive line and it's worked as far as stopping Barkley. I mean, if you take away the 2 kickoff returns for TD and the 1st quarter against Michigan, Barkley's stats are pedestrian. It's not his fault, it's what defenses have gameplanned to stop.

Heisman winners don't get stopped by game plans, so, yes, he should not be a candidate.

At half time, Barkley had negative rushing yards in 5 of the last 9 football halves.

Was a decent game to be at. A little cold, but not bad. We had a Rutgers fan in our section that was picking fights with anyone that would oblige. My favorite thing he yelled: “IM FROM NEW JERSEY! AT LEAST ITS A REAL STATE!!!!” Made me chuckle.

Saquon is the best player in the country and he’ll be a Heisman finalist, but will not win unless he puts up huge stats in these last two games. It’s a shame really as Franklin doesn’t utilize him in the way he should.

I found him hilarious... others did not.

The fact that he had a wet spot on the front of his shirt that I assume he tried to bong a beer and failed made it that much better.

Whew, that rules out anyone I know...we had some people go out there, but beer bongs (funneling, as we called it) were a staple of our tailgates, we can all handle them...one guy can down them faster than we could pour them haha...

It’s okay. If you combine the teams the two of you support it adds up to psu’s win total. Amidoinitrite?

It's amazing the amount of **** talking that these two fanbases do considering how poor their record is every single year. But let em yap. We'll win the game on the field.

FIrst in-person game of the season this coming Saturday. My son's former baseball coach is a former equipment manager and officer in the letterman's club. He managed to get us 3rd row tix. Sweet.

There were a couple tickets available through work... I didn't even bother putting my name in after looking at the weather. The couch looks better to me.

I’d expect today’s game to be a bit like last week’s, with the difference hopefully being they just jump on this Nebraska team earlier than they did Rutgers.
