Typical Coug loser mentality. Needing to win vicariously through a different, real team.

Barkley: No timeline for decision to stay or go.

Personally I don't see how he doesn't take the opportunity to cash in. If he says he has unfinished business and is staying however.... I can dig that.

Being drafted by the Browns clearly doesn’t factor into the matter.

Taking a running back first overall would be a Browns thing to do.

A little surprised that this thread was still at the bottom of the page. Nobody was tossing any comments in here during the game?? I had to watch it 3 hours after the fact on DVR because I was umpiring youth baseball tournament games that were scheduled before the bowl matchup was announced. Never again....but that's another story.

As for this game, the only time PSU's offense got stopped was because they stopped themselves. The shovel pass was incredibly dumb. Whatever that pitch play was that Sanders wasn't paying attention to was horribly ill-advised (up 28-7 and can really put the hammer down and you run that??). And there was no real reason to throw that pass that got deflected for the INT because they were gashing them on the run pretty good. But that was the only negative stuff I'd point out. Otherwise, what a fun offensive display and Trace McSorley deserved that offensive MVP. That kid was finding all the right answers and his pass placement on a couple of throws was unreal. And what can you say about Barkley that hasn't already been said? There were rocket flames coming out of the back of him on that TD run. No one beats a safety with an angle like that. What a treat to have been able to watch him progress over the last 3 years.

All in all, a fun year but one with a tinge of disappointment over the what could have been. Next year will hopefully be fun as well with some of the offensive weapons that will be returning. Juwan Johnson could be an absolute star next year, stepping right into the void that Hamilton will leave. Plus, there's plenty returning on defense that will hopefully strengthen that side of the ball.

I'd like to see saquon go to the giants. That way Pittsburgh never plays against him

This was a really fun season to watch despite the back to back heart breakers to Ohio State and MSU. That game in Iowa almost gave me a heart attack but at the same time was my favorite game of the season. Trace McSorley is a winner and I'm very excited to see what him and the rest of the team can do next season. #WeAre

Barkley declared for the draft. Best of luck to the kid and for the sake of his future I hope he doesn’t go at 1 or 4.

The selfish side of me was hoping he would cement himself in psu lore and stay, but I'm glad he declared. Broncos seem like a good fit, or the giants, but the latter is probably a reach

Every PSU touchdown this season in a tidy 17-minute video.

You can still do that...take the "s" out and use the Youtube embed. I did it for you.

Granted, it was much easier before the bad man took everything away.

Love Troy.

So this coming year will be a bit of a challenge for Franklin. Lost his OC, WR coach/Ace recruiter (slightly blown out of proportion given Franklin himself is the true Ace), Saquon, DaeSean, Gesicki (man, I’m going to miss seeing that big lug scamper for a 10-20 year completion. He just looked the part of a PSU TE)... lots to replace.

But I believe in James. And Trace will be back, along with Juwan and all that young talent.

10 wins is the standard now. And they’ll win at least that.
