Jared Wilson-Frame joined the scholarship release parade. I think it speaks volumes that Samson George and Peace Ilegomah are the only two that haven't requested their release.

I think DD nailed it. There's no reason they can't recruit the ACC footprint. Maybe Dixon and his staff couldn't adapt, but the idea that Pitt can only be successful by pulling guys out of NYC doesn't make much sense to me. That is one route to take, but doesn't mean its the only way to do it, particularly now that they are in the ACC.

Also, today brought the best thread title I think I have ever seen:
Take this for what it's worth but my friend says we are getting Pitino
Is this PL lunacy?

Yes. An investigation has been opened into whether the poster in question is, in fact, KTK.

Has KTK ever alluded to having insider information?

There are definitely some PR folks that have dipped their toes in that arena.

Pitt tried to adapt in the ACC, but it just didn't work that well. Young and artis were way more like acc players than anyone else in the program before them. Cam Johnson is an acc type player. Dixon's ACC teams had more good scorers than defenders.

Pitt's recipe for success is simple: Out recruit other mid-level acc teams for players that fit their mold (whatever that mold may be), then make sure the guys improve. Pitt had no advantage in the big east compared to schools like Georgetown or the hall or providence, but pitt beat those schools for recruits, and those recruits got better during their time at pitt.

Kenny the kangaroo would certainly be in the top tier of donors if donations were measured in time, money, and emotion wasted on the programs.

Dan Hurley is not going anywhere
Per source: Dan Hurley is willing to take less $ to stay at URI if the school is committed to moving the program forward. #URI

What exactly does a step forward mean for a program like that?

spend more cash on assistants, recruiting experience, etc.
upgrade facilities

Supposedly hurley wants to stay in the northeast, so Rhode Island is a good choice for him. The A-10 is a good enough league that you can have a sustainably good program if you WANT to

Matt S on pantherlair said candidate 1A (many think Miller) took a big hit last night and Lyke is uncomfortable with the hire. Will most likely be looking elsewhere. PL in meltdown. I don't know why some fans do this to themselves.

I wish the free forums on PL were as exciting as the pay forums.
