O'Neill is significantly more important to keep than Whitehead

At this point I don’t think Whitehead has a position at the next level. Too small for SS and doesn’t have the cover skills for FS.

That rarely prevents players from trying to chase a paycheck.

Other people telling Pitt fans how excited they should or shouldn't be is my favorite

Nebraska and Arkansas fans twittering about wanting Nard Dog....

I finally saw some of those UPS tears (and attendance comments); clever.

He only had 1 before last year (OSU and Wisky last year)? That's an incredible stat if true.

Pretty pumped for next season. Hopefully Scott Frost leaves UCF, otherwise Pitt will have 3 top 15-20 teams on their OOC schedule. Wake and Cuse are the crossover games.

Frost is as good as gone. He's not turning down Florida or Nebraska, let alone aTm, UCLA, Ole Miss, Arkansas etc etc one of whom is bound to offer him the job.

I'll be kind and not compare that record to other schools that folks around here might root for.

Yesterdays win was great. Good for the seniors(especially Maddox) to go out on a huge win. The season overall though was still a dumpster fire and some of the decisions the coaching staff made throughout the year were mind boggling. I'll stay forever positive though and hope this builds some momentum going into next year. Pickett is going to be fun to watch.

This managed to be such a frustrating and disappointing season until the very last game, which ended up being a better end for the seniors than any meaningless bowl game. Just so many great things from yesterday. Maddox and Winslow had probably the best games of their careers. Brian Popp getting four tackles in his final game. JJS wearing Jimbo Covert’s retired number and getting a win while doing so. Extensive playing time for young guys, like Weaver who continues to make plays as a pass rusher and Patrick Jones who is trusted enough to be out there on Miami’s final drive. Campbell getting the start at SS. Solid performances from the LBs and DBs, both young and old. And to top it all off Pickett appears to have the physical skills and mental makeup to be a standout for the next 3 seasons. I feel like I spent four months getting fed a **** sandwich before having it swapped out for a gourmet meal. Extremely excited for next season.
