Did a bunch of companies force people back into the office starting May 1? Traffic has been a dodint for the past week, almost pre-pandemic levels.
They still haven't reopened the Red Garage so I doubt it.

I've had no issues getting in and out over the last year and a half, but since May 1, I've crawled across Veterans Bridge both in the morning (traffic backed up going into Downtown) and home. I haven't hit this level of traffic going home since like... 2019.

The Charles Anderson bridge closure is what's screwing up my commute home. I've been going into downtown and through the Armstrong tunnel. Somehow that's faster than the parkway. Now when the outbound tunnel closes in winter 2024, I'm going to be doubly screwed. That **** bridge won't reopen until 2025.

They added a second car to the T today. Wednesdays have been insane on the T lately, so this is a welcome development

I hate all the companies that decided to force their people back in September, and PennDot for closing ramps to 376 W from Oakland.

I'm in mjnute 45 of mt commute and only just hit Veterans Bridge

My Monday commute to and from work were 2 hours each. Needless to say, that was a very stressful day.

Gonna be heading east in the turnpike after thanksgiving.its an extra 15 minutes to take rte 30 from my departure point and I’ll save $14.80. This is a no brainer to take route 30 right? F the turnpike right in its ass

That drive is great so long as you don't get stuck behind a semi or coal truck.

Ever since the Charles Anderson Memorial Bridge (yeah, apparently that's the name of it) that connects Schenley to Oakland closed, I've been using Armstrong as a way to avoid the parkway. It closing is going to really **** up my commute home as now it's either Swinburne bridge or the parkway. Neat.

By the way, as far as I can tell, absolutely no work has been done on the Charles Anderson bridge. No clue what the plan is there but it's really **** me.

Found the project page: https://engage.pittsburghpa.gov/charles-anderson-bridge
The bridge will re-open fall of 2026. It's been closed since Feb 2023.

Nothing chaps my behind more than two construction projects in conflict with each other as far as detours go.
