The Panhandle bridge (the T bridge - I didn't realize it had a name and had to google it) took a "direct hit"

Hope they got some good insurance. Assuming it's a Consol barge.

Yeah I usually see him on Montour Run Road. So nice of him to use the road as opposed to the bike trail that runs directly parallel for miles.

Uneventful commute today until I got to the garage. My window was, unknown to me until that moment, frozen in the up position so I had to maneuver my big ass up and over the glass to get my ticket. You win this round, nature.

Today was the first day that I was not able to ride my bike into work (yesterday was a holiday).

As I was walking down Wood St from the bus stop today, I saw a guy on his bike and I was jealous. But he had heavy duty tires, I have road treads.

I saw a guy biking today as well. Was really remarkable because he stopped for a red light.

I put my window down today and it went up super slowly. Almost like it was asking "do that again, i'm not going back up at all"

Two great commutes home this week.

Pothole patching during rush hour in a construction zone on I70 today.

A burning car on 79 in Bridgeville last night.

Driving east on the 30 bypass past Coatesville this morning, drove past a really nasty wreck on the other side. Police were on the scene but you could tell it had just happened. That always puts things in perspective when I'm sitting in traffic later in the drive :(

@count2infinity

I remember reading about this crash in the fall. Happy they are charging her with vehicular homicide. She destroyed a family and I hope she rots in prison.

https://www.centredaily.com/news/local/ ... le22560690
Oliver told police she was traveling to her 8 a.m. class at Penn State, but denied being in a hurry to get there. She is listed in the university’s directory as an undergraduate student studying engineering science.

“I started to drift to the right. There was a car to the right of me. I tried to pull my car back into the middle of the lane, but it starts drifting to the left — my car starts to oscillate and then it touches the grass,” Oliver allegedly told police. “It was wet. I might have over corrected it in order to pull myself back straight. It pulls to the left. It was hard to keep control of the steering wheel.”

Police also executed a search warrant on Oliver’s vehicle and an officer determined her left front tire failed and would not have passed inspection — though it was never inspected.

Instead, her inspection and emissions stickers were allegedly stolen from another vehicle, her vehicle had an expired registration and was not covered by insurance.

It would take more effort for me to steal inspection stickers than it would for me to just get an inspection.

Okay, I'll bite. WTF changed so that now the Veterans Bridge is backed up all the way down the 28 ramp every morning? Smooth sailing all the way from my house t 28, and then a parking lot across the bridge. It's been like this all week regardless of traffic flow and density elsewhere.

Can’t wait for everywhere to have pretty decent roads then get into the city and it look like a post-apocalyptic wasteland where they don’t know that salt melts snow.

They keep closing the section of road behind the US Steel Building which forces everyone to go left past the Doubletree instead of continuing on into town and either taking sixth avenue down to grant or continuing on down Ross Street. I don't know why they are doing it, and they only do it some mornings and not others. They didn't do it today.
