There's NO WAY off? Like, start backing people up 1 by 1 to an exit?

This is what surprised me. Divert traffic at exit 6 and then start peeling people back via u-turns and have them get off at exit 5.

It kills me that state troopers don't do this. Yesterday on I-70 I was stuck at a standstill for 45 minutes, roughly 100 yards before the Monongahela exit. There's a wreck between Monongahela and Bentleyville WB.

There's also a side road that runs parallel, you can get right off and right back on at the next exit and bypass the wreck completely by about a 45 second detour. Instead, doofus state trooper sat there with his lights on right past the exit. Had he gotten out of his car and told people one-by-one, traffic would've flown right through. But otherwise, he just sat there presumably surfing Facebook while traffic backed up to the Speers bridge (4+ miles).

Took me about an hour to get home when it usually takes 40 min. So, it wasn't that bad. Some idiot got into an accident in the "express" lane and since there's no way on or off for miles, it pretty well screwed everybody. Luckily for me, I actually paid attention to the digital sign telling traffic to take the "local" lane due to an accident on the express side. I have no idea why the long line of cars in front of me ignored it and drove directly into standstill traffic.

Some old lady was checking her phone while we were sitting at a stale red light at Grant/11th yesterday on my way home. Her foot must've come off the brake and she rolled right into me. I opted not to even bother getting out and asking her wtf her problem was. Glad I didn't bother escalating in the end since when I got home the back of my car was fine. I did film her passing me to go down Grant in case there needed to be a claim though.

I'm getting old; younger me would've made my presence known.
