Dunno. I'm buying a house on 8. :P

It'll probably back up onto Grant street, though. No doubt in my mind at all.

Something happened on eastbound 30 this morning in Greensburg near Giant Eagle/Wal-Mart. Those lanes were gridlocked all the way down past Dellalos to Pinnacle Auto Sales with no sign of moving. Ouch.

It's already started. IIRC they're closing the left land and opening up the HOV lane to catch it back on at McKnight road if you're going inbound into the city.

I'll ignore the Jeannette area like the plague when I'm coming home. I hate getting off at the Irwin exit because every 50 yards in certain spots there's lights. I always get the damn lights.

Sometimes I'll take 30 all the way home from the Penn Hills exit, but it has to be late and I have to not be in a hurry.

I live near the hospital in Greensburg so there really isn't a faster way for me other than Irwin. Given no traffic at all maybe taking 66, but Murrysville is a cluster **** so I never take it.

You can't take New Stanton and come up behind it? I guess that's a little further, but way less lights.

I loved the NS exit because I lived in Midway, was so close and made commuting easy.

Not sure, maybe it hasn't started yet. I saw what they were doing this week on the news so I figured it was live.

You can, but you have to get on 30 to grab the West Newton exit to get to my house and that feels like back tracking. Going through S. Greensburg there is not fun during the day.

They have the cones on the side of the road but they haven't actually started yet. Looks like there's some work going on in the median strip near Camp Horne. Man is it going to suck...

They've started building the crossover that will be north of Camp Horne. The work will last three years. 2017 is for the inbound side, 2018 is for the outbound side, and 2019 is for the HOV lanes. As I understand it, once the work starts traffic just north of Camp Horne Road will split with one lane staying on the southbound shoulder and the other crossing over to the northbound side. At Perrysville both of those lanes will come back together into the HOV lanes. Traffic will then stay in the HOV lanes until right before the 279/579 split, at which time everyone goes back to the main road. Even then, there will be lane closures leading up to the Fort Duquesne Bridge for people staying on 279.

So even though this year's work is on the inbound side, one lane of the outbound side will be closed from the HOV lanes until north of the Camp Horne exit.

To be fair, we moved North to avoid traffic and North is obviously better. As long as they don't touch 79 South. I'm still happy.

I live in the city and commute to Cranberry for work. Does that mean you can feel bad for me?
