People. It's foggy. Lights on
It was a dark, foggy rainy day yesterday, and it never fcking ceases to amaze me how many drivers are on the road without their headlights on. Like, how stupid/self-absorbed can you be?

Also, daytime running lights are not headlights, dopes.

Yeah, I'm not going anywhere near that mess. Pretty sure we have permissive telework for that since they've been putting out advisories. Nevermind the road situation, I'm certain there won't be any parking either.

Well that was incredibly overhyped. Got home in record time. I guess everybody stayed home today.

Can the parkway west outbound get any worse. Seriously, what are they doing? It took a half hour again from 79 to Robinson.

Local news inciting panic? No way.
WTAE interviewed a guy that said his commute was cut in half, slid into town in 20 minutes when it normally took 45.

I guess the 8,000 supporters didn't materialize? I stayed home mostly because of the parking issue, not congestion concerns. Plus we went full permissive telework for the district.

I don't always work in the city on Monday, but when I do there is a sinkhole with a bus sticking out of it across the street.

Amusingly my actual commute wasn't affected because I park a block north of there.

Spoke too soon. Getting out of the city sucked. The the great sinkhole of 2019 and a terrible Steelers game collided like a perfect storm to create a yinzer strokefest the likes of which have never been seen.

in case anyone was asking the question "how many cops does it take to protect/maintain order on a street with a large sinkhole?" the answer is 4.

95% sure the city does not/did not change the traffic lights for DST changes. Traffic on the Boulevard is all **** up.

Only took me about a half hour to get from Oakland to Mt Washington pre-time change.

It's been half an hour and I'm not even to Liberty Bridge yet.

Good news is the fixed the lights at the Liberty Bridge.

PSA that it snowed and the roads are only slightly wet, so remember not to exceed 2 mph in case its actually slippy.

I made it almost 5 years without any major backups taking the turnpike to work. Been sitting for 30 minutes now and no movement. Accident is probably no more than a few hundred yards ahead.

Then shortly before 3:30 p.m. another crash was reported on Interstate 79 northbound in Cranberry Township. A vehicle rolled over multiple times and landed in the median. At least one person was reported to be entrapped in that vehicle and a helicopter was placed on standby.

This crash has resulted in the shutdown of a portion of I79 southbound for an indefinite amount of time. Motorists should avoid the area near Route 528 if possible. Cranberry Township crews responded to both incidents along with assistance from Adams Township and Harmony EMS.
People **** up driving on a straight road with nomcross traffic, again. Basically.

No traffic and free street parking. Not bad.
