Hah, thanks. It was a very good birthday. The least COVID-y one in the last two years.

Had a nice lunch at a sports bar with family and friends, which included some indoor golf. Visited my step-dad and gave him his birthday gift, I was born on his 18th birthday. Then went home and watched the Matrix movie while enjoying my favorite pizza. A very nice way to turn 39.

Reading through the beginning of this thread was a trip, thanks.

Jioios, specifically from the one on Carbon road. Italian Sausage and Black Olives.

If you've not had Jioios it's a thin crust pizza, a little bit of a sweeter sauce, and baked in pans greased w/lard.

Made for a good breakfast this morning, too.

Yeah, it's a very flaky crust. I totally understand that it might not be what folks want from a pizza, but it's been my favorite for about 25 years now. And unfortunately, the one in Latrobe has really gone downhill. But the one on Carbon in Greensburg is still doing well.

We actually order from Giannilli's more often because of proximity and it's a really good pizza. My favorite is their meatball pizza, sounds dumb but it's good stuff. Their pepperoni and mushroom is my Dad's favorite so it's my go-to for Steeler games.

Never heard of Carmine's. (Car-mine, not yours?)

Rizzo's has sneaky good pizza, but it's also a thinner crust.

I've had Rizzo's. Big fan. I do like thin crust just not thin and flaky pastry crust. But jioio's would def make a nice breakfast pie

Played baseball for Carbon growing up. Loved Jioios. Ate dinner there for my 21st, haven't been back since. So like 15 years lol.
