I probably would have voted for Papa John's if I hadn't implemented a personal boycott of their product following the terrible Peyton Manning ad campaign and the owner being a ******.
Agreed, Papa John's has pretty damn tasty pizza IMO, and I love the dipping sauce. Everything else just turns me off from them though.

There are nostalgic reasons for me to pick Pizza Hut, like the fact I married into a family that eats Pizza Hut on Christmas Eve every year prior to gift exchange. But Little Cesar's was always my favorite to have cold for breakfast the next day.

I went with Domino's but only for their pan pizza. I always loved Pizza Hut's pan pizza but the grease in it sets off my stomach.

There was a chain that was in Orlando until about 2008 called Donato's that I think is in the midwest. I was always a big fan of their pies. If we were in Chicago and discussing deep dish chains, I'd take Giordano's over Malnati's.

We could have an entire thread on 'regular vs. deep dish'.

This.

Dominos and papa johns are the same level for me, with regular crust. Dominos thin crust is awful. Cardboard. I haven't had little Cesar's in years, but I used to like it most.

I like Foxs's and Papa Johns. We recently had a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese and their pizza is way better than it should be.

Pizza, regardless of the time of day, is always a good choice.

I live in the East End, and have great non-chain pizza choices. Pfft on chain pizza.

Along these lines I'm super stoked there are at least three different Gyro places within a block of my work. So good. There is also a Subway, which makes me laugh every time I walk by. No chance I eat there with all the other choices. Working in a city is amazing when it comes to food, beats the piss out of an Army post in the woods.

When I work from home like I have the past 4 weeks or so.. I eat pizza every single day for lunch. It's a 8" deli pizza from the local store, but damn is it good.

As far as chains go.. Papa Johns was always my go to when I ordered before. Always had at least a 25% off coupon if not 50%.. and I liked their thing crust quite a bit and their cheesesticks were good with that garlic dipping sauce.

Pizza Hut I think I got burned out on between getting it all the time for Book-It when I was growing up and my dad working there for a short period of time when I was younger and he always brought it home after work. Every once in a while I have a craving that only a pizza hut pan pizza can fill.

Dominos is meh to me, as is Little Cesars. There is a local pizza place that I order from now if I get pizza.. its really good non-chain pizza. If I feel like driving to Monreoville area I'll go to Shelly Pie... love that pizza but can only do it every once in a while because its such a grease bomb and so heavy.

... I'd take Giordano's....
We went to a Giordano's the only time I've been to Chicago. The cake we were served was undercooked by at least five minutes, and was in every way utterly gross. Was highly disappoint.

I know the place is highly regarded, so it's a bummer to have that as my only deep dish experience in Chicago.

We tried both Giordano's and Lou Malnati's the last time we went to Chicago, and didn't really care for either of them.

I believe we did Unos in Chicago for the real deep dish experience and I quite enjoyed it.

The PSU alum in me also has a soft spot for Gumby's, despite knowing it is objectively crap.

Same. I've said this before, but to me a deep dish pizza is just an open face calzone. And a lousy one at that.
