Haha. It did not work. I am at work and my phone blew up with like 10 text messages. I thought the little guy died or something. She thinks its her fault and she managed to make a dog sick in 3 days.

Found out from rescue that they got their first deworming back on Feb 4th, they are due again on the 18th. They were going to give us that stuff on Monday when they got dropped off at the vet. G/F is going to take him to the vet anyways to be safe I guess, but I tried to tell her it was a normal thing for pups.

Stray dogs are more worms than dog, but puppies gotta be like a 2-1 ratio

Murphy is fine. Vet said give him 2nd deworming treatment next week when he's due and then bring another poop sample a week or so after that to get tested.

Hooray for Murph.

We will become a double Cocker family next weekend. Hoping the first does ok with the puppy. He is a great dog so I am optimistic.

Tempted to buy ear plugs at night when Murphy is crated. Takes about 30 minutes to stop whining and just sleep haha. He's a puppy so I know things take time. The Kong toy today seemed to distract him in there for a bit and I've been trying to put him in there for short periods of time to show him it's a safe spot and not always for long periods etc.

Another good chew toy for pups is to take washcloth, soak it in water, wring it out and put it in the freezer. Once it's set, give it to the pup.
That's more of a teething thing, tho. So maybe in a couple months.

He's a chewer. He loves wires. He has lots of toys. He just has like puppy ADD, he gets distracted easily and you have to put him back on track. He chews a toy, then for a split second forgets he has it and says oh I want this wire instead. He also enjoys taking the older dogs toys from one room to the other. The older dog(Geno) is adjusting but I can tell he is like WTF is this hyper thing you brought into the house. It will be interesting once Murphy can jump on the chair by himself as that is Geno's safe spot/throne.

Stargell is 16 months old and is still exactly like that. Buckle up baby

I can deal with that. I warned my g/f that this would be work cause he was so young. Just gotta stick with it. He's got the pooping and peeing thing down outside, for the most part. He still has the occasional little dribble inside, but so far so good on that front. Another nice thing about ripping up all that carpet recently though. Messes are easy to wipe up. I just want him to eventually stop whining in the crate at night. I know it will take time, but I'd like to get a full nights sleep at some point haha. He at least has not gone to the bathroom in it at all. Our neighbors probably think he is getting murdered at night.

How can I get mad at this face? Note: This is not Murphy's bed but Geno's bed, but Murph does not give a crap ha.

For the whining at night, how close do you have his crate to where you sleep?
