Ah, man, I had kind of put Carlin out of my mind for now and carried on. Then opened Facebook for a second; that photo, so sweet. :(

A couple parting photos, from April 2006, and then I'm going to check out for a while and stop bumming everyone out.
This was the moment we met

And this was a week later, April 29, the day we brought her home

The first photo carries extra significance on this day, 12 years and two days later, because that is how I was holding her at the end. So we truly went full circle.
I am broken and empty right now in a way I never dreamed possible. But those two photos...... boundless love and happiness.

I found the leak.

I know it's tough. Just know that on some level she appreciated that you loved her enough not to prolong her suffering for your own needs. You and Ms. Tif are excellent people.

Anyone use and recommend either of these vets?

Harts Run Veterinary Hospital: http://www.hartsrunvet.com/

Middle Road Animal Clinic: http://www.middleroadvet.com/

Or any other vet in the North Hills they really like.

I went to PVSEC (http://www.pvs-ec.com/) with my parent's dog and it was very well run but also seemed expensive.

Wife and I take the cats to Belacoop Animal hosp.
Any chance their waiting area has a partition for dadhole dogs that bark non-stop? This is what I'm looking for more than anything. My dog is a solo dog and will bark from the time we walk into the door until the time she gets called into the room if she sees another animal. And since she's part pit bull it can be intimidating for some people (and downright annoying) despite her relatively small size.

Every time I go a couple days of feeling like I'm getting myself sorted, something pops up that just completely wrecks me. First, it was a sympathy card from our old neighbors. Then it was getting her ashes back, in a bigger than I expected box engraved with name. Then it was our friend posting two pictures of Carlin and her dog playing together into the Facebook comments on that last photo I posted. Then today we got sympathy cards from her regular vet and the emergency hospital where we said goodbye, which included a little paper with her paw print and the date. I thought it was another stupid Rainbow Bridge card, and when I turned it over....... yeesh.

Carlin was at that emergency hospital twice. Once for gastroenteritis last summer, and then last week. The entire staff signed the card.

I've started using the dremel to do my pup's nails. Game changer - especially since one doggo has all black nails.

Decided to start taking our dog to a new groomer...I had been debating it for a while. The groomer we currently go to is connected to a pet store, with some semi-shady people working there. It also seemed a little on the pricey side. Although the thing that finally made me call the other groomer to book an appointment was getting a long text from our current groomer asking us to join her "wellness company" (pyramid scheme) selling top quality CBD oil. I'm assuming she sent the text to all of her contacts, but that's a no for me dawg

Oh, btw, my wife's big mother's day present was the adoption of Gomez the super scaredy dog that we've had since Christmas of 2016. I was holding out to see how he reacted to the baby coming into the house... he's cool with it:
