That is 100% a person that would return a rescue dog for cat terrorizing.

I inadvertently discovered that if you create a Chewy auto-ship order, apply the discount for your first auto-ship, and then later cancel the auto-ship, Chewy will allow you to continually repeat that process.

She'll be dealing with nonstop. I take the photos at the local shelter and the stupidity of the public never ceases to amaze me.It's just so weird to me. The shelter has been doing this for a LONNNNG time. They know what works and what doesn't. Every policy is there for a reason.

We are taking our goldendoodle down to my sister in laws today. She is staying there while we are in the Outer Banks next week, and we won't be picking her up until Sunday.
Maybe it's partially because she is getting older (8 in October), but I'm having a very difficult time with this. We spend a ton of time together.

Is this your crazy sister in law?
I understand where you're coming from. I never board my dogs or leave them with anyone. I plan all my trips around places that will accept them. It's a pita sometimes, but worth it.

We're taking a 9 day road trip up through New England into Canada, staying with friends and family. This is the first time we're taking the dog on a long road trip, he's never gotten car sick and seems to love riding in the car, I'm looking forward to it.

Bonus points if you have a sunroof. I was driving home from work recently and saw a golden retriever with is head and front paws popped up through a sunroof. Made my week.

We can't stay in a beach house that allows pets because my wife and MIL are deathly allergic to cat dander. So it's all or nothing. Unfortunately, we are never going to find a "dogs only" beach house.
My brother-in-law's office actually allows one pet to be brought in every day, so Molly is currently chilling next to his desk and enjoying all of the attention and love from his co-workers. My wife said she was anxious before she realized that she was going with my brother-in-law. I'm happy she's having a nice time.

The face that has saved Murphy from getting in trouble countless times from when he was a puppy until now.

That's a good face.

I've had a cat pretty much living outside on my porch for the last 3 weeks. when it first started coming around it had a collar that got lost in our tree and the next day she had a new one. for the last 2 weeks she has been at our house all day and night with the exception of maybe 1 or 2 days. It's maybe 6 months old and skin and bones. We've left notes on the collar to see if there is an owner to call us and nothing. I'm taking it to the vet tomorrow to get tested for that feline disease and check for a chip. If it's all good, it will be my new inside cat for me other cat to play with. That's OK to do, right?

Sounds to me like someone ditched it/malnourished it. It'd be the 'right' thing to do, but if you've left notes with your name and/or number/address with the cat I'd be wary of taking it in.

We get Barkbox every month for our goldendoodle, Molly. She absolutely adores her toys, so I don't feel like it's a waste. When it is time for bed, she will pick up 2-3 toys in her mouth, bring them up to our room, and put them down next to her dog bed. Anyone else's dog do that?
Pet Thread
Yup. There is a steady migration of toys that come up from the living room and to the bed. Every so often I make the return trip by grabbing a handful of them and returning them to the basket in the living room.

I had my neighbor do it and looking at the cat just now, I'm thinking she may be pregnant which could complicate things...It'd be the 'right' thing to do, but if you've left notes with your name and/or number/address with the cat I'd be wary of taking it in.

Congratulations on your new pride of cats!

Yup, it's the most adorable thing. We have a mountain of soft toys behind the recliner in the living room because she literally never destroys them. If we are all sitting in the living room talking (and ignoring her), she will start pulling them out into the middle of the floor one by one.

Meanwhile, my cats have a basket of toys they ignore while batting around hair ties.

Every day, without fail, when I open the door to come in from the garage my dog freaks out. She look at me, and then acts like she just remembered something really important. She runs to her basket and gets a toy and then parades around the living room with it until I come over to pet her.Yup. I'm going to miss that so much in a few years.

Oh man, our dogs are very similar in that vein. She turns eight in October...don't even get me started down that line of thought.

At the vets with Murphy. Started limping yesterday. Doing x-rays now. They think it's his toe/foot. Hopefully not broken. No clue how he did it either.

He wouldn't stay still enough to get a good xray so go back tomorrow morning to get him sedated... then xrayed again to see if there are any breaks etc.

If you squeeze his paw, does he pull it back or yelp?
