Geno has peed inside no less than 4 times today...and that is after being outside to go normally. Just walks down the hallway and pees, walks through the kitchen...trails of pee everywhere.

I honestly don't know what to do anymore.

One of our cats had been throwing up bile for two days, and has diarrhea. Took him to the vet, and he seemed fine. Over the course of the next 12 hours, we find that all four cats now have diarrhea. Lovely.

Gotta imagine that it's one of the new foods, though I'm still a little surprised. We have three new flavors because of stock issues at Amazon and PetSmart, so I guess I'll be returning all of it.

We had to change food flavors once for our dogs and we had the same issue. I ended up driving like 45 minutes to a PetSmart to get the old flavor.

Assuming when you guys swapped you slowly swapped out not all at once? The few times we've had to change we had to do a slow swap out...doing it all at once caused many many problems.

They all get 2 cans for each meal, and with every feeding there is always one can of the stuff they have eaten forever, so yeah, it's been slow. Hell, they've only tried the new food for the past week. I'm not even sure which one it is, given that so much was out of stock.

My assumption is that it's one of the new seafood flavors, because I really have a hard time seeing this being a chicken/turkey flavor. Taking back all new seafood stuff to PetSmart today, so we'll see how things go from here.

I swapped the food at PetSmart already, but am donating the stuff I got from Amazon. We regularly donate to the rescue that we got two of our cats from because they're awesome.

Now a second cat has thrown up multiple times today, with the latest being basically all the water he drank for dinner. Jfc

Changing pet food causes more potential issues than you'd think. We had a cat get pretty severe pancreatitis when we changed his food once.

On another pet food related note, our 17 year old cat was diagnosed a couple years ago with diabetes. We changed to the Purina DM wet food, 1/2 can mixed with her old Taste of the WIld kibble, plus one unit of insulin a day, she has lost half her weight and regained her swagger. Vet says it's remarkable how good she looks, he sees many 17 year old cats with lost teeth, ratty fur, etc. It's pretty remarkable and much easier and cheaper than I thought to give her the insulin. The food is the largest expense by far.

On still another pet food related note, one of my cockers decided to try eating raw potatoes today. Like, pulled them out of the bag which has always been on the floor because they've never been interested in them. Interesting.....

I just can’t believe I’m seeing this after maybe 5-6 cans of food. Makes me wonder if some of the cans of normal food are bad or something.

If you didn’t know about the puking and diarrhea, you’d never know something was wrong. They are acting totally normal.

You wanna test the strength of your marriage and your love for your children? Try having everyone agree on a hamster name.

Our critter was just diagnosed diabetic, too. Dr Rxed the Purina DM kibble, and she (the cat, not the vet) horfs it down like a champ. Followup visit on Friday will determine if diet alone can manage her care or if we need to do the insulin thing.

Pretty neat, but I wonder what made the scientists want to even see if this was possible.

When I was a kid (5-6yo) this happened in our house. Got a hamster, no one could agree on a name. My parents ended up putting all the three of our names in a hat and the whoever got picked got to name it.

I won. Named the hamster Blondie after the Man With No Name. Yes, my parents let us watch The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. Always liked westerns because of it.

Brother and sister were less than pleased with the name.

We had a vote and are down to four. Down from like 30 - no joke. Those four are going into a hat and one is getting pulled.
