This is a photo from her rescue listing:
Image
She's got the spots all over, hence the moniker. She looks like she was the Gateway PC mascot from 2002.
She was a stray, one of 32 (!) pups rescued off the kill list at Bakersfield and Riverside shelters; she was what I think they call 'red tagged', like a condemned building, which means she would've been put down at the next availability (which is a super morbid thought to contemplate... "Let me pencil you in...." gross). Basically, if she hadn't been rescued last Saturday, she wouldn't be alive today.

She had a litter around 4 months ago while in the shelter, and all of those pups were rescued before Moo got out and have been rehomed. She is 2 years old, listed as a pittie+boxer mix (we'll do a DNA thing for her to find out for sure; she's very small for that mix), listed at 40 pounds. She had an appointment for her spay the end of this week, but we decided to forego that and bring her home and have it done with who will be her regular vet going forward. I think we're on the schedule to bring her home on Thursday AM.

She looks almost like my friends' dog Sadie. She was also a pit mix, but on the smaller side. Same white fur, similar spotting around the face.

She was so chill. Ok with just laying by herself in her own world, but also would never say no to some attention.

Hope your Moo is as good as Sadie was.

(Sadie for the interested)

In the 9 months we have had her, Ava has increased her body weight by 20%. Porker.

She has a strictly controlled diet, she's just filling in from being a stray. Good stuff.

Buddy of mine's cat died the other day from going under for a teeth cleaning. Completely healthy. The odds for such an occurrence are super low, so, he's not doing too great. Very sad situation.

Came home this evening to see that there's a kitten living in a small crawl space under my porch. I left some cream out cause my first instinct is to try and get it something to eat. Not sure if there's a mother there or not. But not keen on trying to like get in a crate, but would like to get it to the humane society, does anyone know how to deal with that?

We captured a stray kitten in my in-laws wood pile by playing cat meowing videos on YouTube. That kitten came flying out and I grabbed her by the scruff of her neck

Looks like little guy has moved on. I couldn’t deploy the meow method cause I had no vessel to put the thing in after catching it.

My wife took two of our cats to the vet yesterday, and both were so wound up that they were hyperventilating badly. The vet is going to give us some meds to give to them 2 hours before their next appointment to avoid this in the future. I don't know what got into them, either. They've gone to the vet before - one of them not even 2 months ago - and we specifically booked the appointment for these two together because they're brothers, thinking they'd help keep each other calm.

I take the other two in next month, but those two are so chill that they'll probably purr the entire way there.

We have successfully completed the transition of going from 0 dogs to 4 dogs.

Mama Moo and her 3 pups are doing well.

I’ve always wanted to keep a pup from a littler my own dog had. I think that would be so cool. You going to keep any?

Happy 1st birthday to Dupuis. He has the most personality of any cat that I have been around...always wants to be involved in what you're doing, gets down from elevated surfaces using a cartwheel method, and his new favorite spot to be is in one of our bathroom sinks...excellent kitty, 10/10.

I suppose if you must have a cat that's a pretty good one.
