Murder with love, maybe. We have three and the worst any of them do at night is lick your forehead.

It is so funny when my wife is out of town. Our shepherd/collie mix acts so daggone depressed. She mopes around the house and stares out the window like a ship's captain's wife.
She is now curled on the wife's side of the bed like those dogs you see laying on their master's graves in Arlington.

Shepherds are notorious for bonding with one family member. Whenever I am home, our Aussie is always within arms reach of me. When I’m not home, she is planted in her bed.

Miniature Aussie, Border Collie Mix
Comes home in 17 days (the kids are keeping me updated)
Anybody have any experience with BarkBox or any of the like?
We didn't use it for Flurry, but I wondered if it has any value.

Everything I've ever read about herding doggos is that they really need some kind of job to keep their brains engaged, or else they can get destructive in the home. Just something to do.... chase, fetch, hide-and-seek, something. Obviously you have to build up off-leash trust before doing most of this kind of play.
The need to keep dogs like this active and plugged in is really why Mrs Tif and I can't have dogs like that. We're far too sedentary.

Doggie day care/camp is the best thing I ever did for our puppy Murphy who is now about 10 months old. Twice a week he gets dropped off in the AM and gets to run around and play with other dogs all day while the wife and I are at work. I drop him off at like 7;15, pick him up around 4. He is dead tired once he gets home and then doesn't mind being locked in the kitchen the following day while we are at work. It has really helped him burn off energy when needed and lets him socialize around other dogs. The same place does obedience lessons as well and will also do boarding if we need to board him for a few days if we go out of town.

Well, Keke and I went to the vet today. Mr Keke has been having some painful urination and had crystals in his urine about a year ago so I thought they may have come back.
Vet told me he thinks it's simply Feline Idiopathic Cystitis and I need to reduce stress. He suggested we try some 500mg CBD oil drops on his food.

I don’t. My point was that you get such a hodge podge of breeds that you can’t get any value out of it. I’m sure you’ll get some breeds that you suspect and then just feel validated for having known the breed

Wife just did doggie dna test on our 11 month old dog. Mother in law bought it for us. I think it was like 80$ or something. Wisdom panel was the brand.
Came back pretty much what we thought ...mostly beagle(25%) with some American staffodshire terrier (15%) and other breeds(mostly other terriers).
I agree with @Troy Loney though in general I'm glad we didn't pay the 80$ for it.

Speaking of our almost 11 months old puppy Murphy... he is getting pretty big. He is certainly part Beagle as he is very food motivated and nose is always to the ground.

Our goldendoodle Molly just turned 7. She is still a puppy through and through, simply couldn't ask for a better sister/friend/companion to our five year old daughter. She is unique in that she treasures all of the toys we get her, to the point where she has a mountain of them in the living room because they never get destroyed. She also likes to fit two or three into her mouth when she comes up to bed every night

My wife wants to get another dog and I'm not opposed to the idea. I went by the pound and a no-kill shelter today just to look and it was 98% some kind of pit bull or terrier.

Yeah. The pounds down here are littered with pit bulls. It’s sad
