Yep. And 30 round mags.

Ah, I see. You can either have a "featured" build where you have to disassemble to drop a magazine, or a "featureless" build where you have a mag release but nothing else (pistol grip, etc.).
Nice looking rifle.

I have 30 round mags. Not enough but 20 or so. I want to pick up another AR.Yep. And 30 round mags.

Does anyone have a particularly strong opinion on Gen 2 versus Gen 3 PMags? The Gen 2s seem to be easier to find in bulk quantities.

Not much of a difference, I try and buy as many Gen2s as possible because they typically go on sale to $9-10 dollars.Does anyone have a particularly strong opinion on Gen 2 versus Gen 3 PMags? The Gen 2s seem to be easier to find in bulk quantities.

I just buy D&H mags from PSA. I see no problems with any of them. Thoguh, PMAGs look a little bit cooler.
All Things Guns & Ammo
Thanks. It doesn't seem like there's all that much of a difference between the PMag generations.

The prices are eye-watering, but hot damn the Korth revolvers (offered in the US through Nighthawk Custom) are gorgeous.

Finally made the time for the first range day with the new blaster. Just 100 rounds, sort of breaking it in as it were. I have 5 mags - the two that came with the gun, and three others I got from GunMagWarehouse. They're all OEM Glock, and the only difference is the three extras have orange followers for some reason. So I cycled each mag twice, and between the ten mags I had 6 failures to lock open. It locks back with an empty mag if I cycle the slide manually, so I'm guessing I was inadvertently depressing the slide stop button with my support hand. Grip change!

Not a Glock guy, but I think orange followers mean those are the latest generation of mags. I've never accidentally hit a mag release, but then I suffer from stubby fingers, so Glocks in general (and may other double-stack guns) have never felt all that comfortable to me.Finally made the time for the first range day with the new blaster. I'm with ya. I hate double stacks too. Hello. Glock 43..

Shyster I think you're right. I forgot they were Gen5 mags.

Just got a gen 5 g19. Mags have orange followers. Wife loves it. I’m partial to my Sig P365. It’s my edc. Tiny, 10+1 with flat bottom mags that are too short for my hands, 12+1 with the extended pinky rest mags, and as backup mags they offer a 15+1 configuration, but it looks ridiculous and difficult to conceal. Nice for the range and backup and it does provide a better grip. Surprisingly accurate for such a small pistol.

I shot a buddy's sig p365 and would also love one. Definitely a future purchase.

Anyone ever owned or shot an M1 Carbine? I've been thinking of picking up one of the reproduction models made by Auto Ordinance, which is owned by Kahr.
In preparation for the 2020 election, I'm thinking that in an abundance of caution, it might be a good idea to check off the semi-auto rifles that are on my wish list.

No, not the Garand. The Carbine.
Although I would like a Garand as well. Hickock45 did a video on how to avoid Garand thumb.

If you've ever loaded a Garand incorrectly, and the bolt chirped your thumb.... go ahead and hit that subscribe button.

Ahh yeah. I got excited when I saw "M1".

It certainly doesn't help to keep things straight that the US military decided to have an M1 Garand, M1 Carbine, and M1 Submachine Gun all in service at the exact same time.
I wouldn't mind one of each, for that matter. The M1 Submachine Thompson would be the cost-prohibitive one. Those suckers are regularly going for more money than I spent on my car.

Couldn't you, at one point, get an M1 Garand for relatively cheap through the Civilian Marksmanship Program?
All Things Guns & Ammo
I got thinking of the M1 Carbine because Luckygunner recently did a .30 Carbine ammunition review video, and one of the recommended videos following that video was this one from Forgotten Weapons where Ken Hackathorn discusses the gun. I found it really informative:
Forgotten Weapons also did an interview where Hackathorn discusses the Thompson and the H&K MP5:

Yes, at one time. Most of the higher-grade ones have been sold out for years, and the prices for the remaining field-grade guns aren't all that cheap any more.Couldn't you, at one point, get an M1 Garand for relatively cheap through the Civilian Marksmanship Program?
