I own fewer shotguns than any other type of gun. That said, sporting clays is super fun.
So 13 of them? Or, I guess most were lost in that boating accident huh..
Before that boating accident, I had four. Two of those I inherited, so I've only ever purchased two shotguns. One was a Remington 870 Tactical, and the other was a CZ Sporter over/under. I do have my eye on that S&W bullpup shotgun that's competing with the Kel-Tec KSG.

Went to renew my concealed-carry permit today. Might have been my fastest-ever transaction with the government. There was no line when I walked in the firearms office at around 12:45, and because I'd filled out the renewal form in advance, I was in the office for all of maybe two minutes.

I've never cared for my mother in law's boyfriend, and I thought the feeling was mutual. I was kind of tuned up last week talking guns to him, about wanting to get another .22. Fast forward to yesterday and my MIL walks in with a gun case and says Hey, Wally wants you to have this. A Ruger 10/22 with a 3-9x40 Leupold and a Timney trigger. I guess this dudes OK after all lol

More people than ever got 'em: 48 straight months of gun sales over 1 million per month.
Moving from PDT

If the CA roster goes away - which feels like a sooner rather than later kind of deal at this point - there will be an explosion of handgun purchases here.

I don't think this is another 'Freedom Week' thing. This time it might be full bye-bye.

I think it will depend on whether the majority of the Ninth Circuit judges who are anti-gun are willing to admit their side has lost in the post-Bruen world, or whether they want to go down kicking and screaming.

If I'm not mistaken, Duncan is the case that resulted in Freedom Week in the first place. It was back in Benitez's court because the 9th Circuit remanded following Bruen., and they've recently issued a number of other rulings in the last two years that are...... inconsistent with their track record.

Maybe. We'll see. You are correct that Duncan was that case. After the win before the District Court, it went up to the Ninth Circuit, which took it en banc (as the Ninth Circuit does in pretty much every gun case) and upheld the magazine ban under the same "intermediate scrutiny" interest-balancing test the Ninth had used to uphold bans/restrictions in every other gun case. It was then appealed to the SCOTUS, which did a GVR (grant, vacate, remand) and told the lower courts to re-do in light of Bruen having rejected interest-balancing tests.

Got a new gun I think I need to buy. The Volquartsen Summit is a straight-pull rifle that's basically a manually operated 10/22. It's been offered for years but only in .22LR. For years, I've been occasionally asking on their Facebook posts if they would ever make it in .17 HMR. I used to own (before the tragic boating accident) multiple .22LR rifles, but I don't have any .17s. They just announced a version in .17 HMR. After pestering them for it, I think I'm pretty much obliged to buy one, right?

My gun bash luck continued yesterday. I hit a $3 choice of table and selected a Sig Sauer P2022 9mm. It's a really nice gun. Usually a $3 table only has guns priced around $3-400 but this one seems to be around $550-600 online. Solid value for the day!
