Johnson’s has been bad forever.Latrobe Dunhams always had the best supply when it was tight. Avoid Johnsons in Norvelt, price gougers IMO.
going rate seems to be about 80c per round.

I like cloverleaf too. Its just too far from me. Latrobe dunhams is too, but their supply was always good on Thursdays during the real scarcity.I didn't know that the Johnsons that own that store also own the HVAC business. Their bid was super high for our system last year.Latrobe Dunhams always had the best supply when it was tight. Avoid Johnsons in Norvelt, price gougers IMO.

Cloverleaf is my favorite locally.

They'd always have what you need. You're just paying 30-40% more.Johnson’s has been bad forever.Latrobe Dunhams always had the best supply when it was tight. Avoid Johnsons in Norvelt, price gougers IMO.

(Moved this to this thread because I have some nuts-and-bolts questions that would otherwise derail the PDT, and we can't have the PDT getting derailed.)
The four cases sent back for do-overs because they were decided under the now-rejected "intermediate scrutiny" test are:
Young v. Hawaii — Challenges Hawaii’s ban on open carry.
Bianchi v. Frosh — Challenges Maryland’s “assault weapons” ban.
ANJRPC v. Grewal — Challenges New Jersey’s “high capacity” magazine ban.
Duncan v. Bonta — Challenges California’s “high capacity” magazine ban.
In addition:
Bonta is obviously a case that piques my curiosity. Is there any applicability to the new standard of review to something like the CA handgun roster?
Also, is there any significance to the fact that these four cases came up through three different federal circuits, or is that just the way the cookie crumbled? (Litigants can't obviously pick and choose what cases get to SCOTUS)
All Things Guns & Ammo
I think the new standard would absolutely have an impact on the handgun roster. Certainly, there is no significant founding-era history of the government picking and choosing what brands or specific models of guns that people could buy. Neither, I think, could the handgun roster be justified as prohibiting "dangerous and unusual" firearms. Heck, I'm sure plenty of cops in California are carrying Glock models that aren't on the roster, and while I'm sure the California government will try, it's going to be hard to argue that standard-issue police sidearms would qualify as "dangerous and unusual" firearms.
I don't think there's any significance of the circuits involved. It just so happened that these were the 2A cases that happened to be pending when Bruen was decided. Certainly, there have been plenty of other 2A cases that the Court turned aside before now.

I haven't filed for CCW yet, but in light of the below I certainly wouldn't be dissuaded from participating if I had cause.

Another win at the local VFD gun bash yesterday. Had a $5 choice of table. Towards the end so wasn't much left but went with a Mossberg O/U Silver Reserve 12ga shotgun. Have wanted a nice shotgun for trap for a while now.

Very nice.

Eh, maybe some. I'm certainly not in the "the 1911 is the greatest handgun ever invented" camp. Now, if you'd said that Gaston Gock is as overrated as the Beatles, I'd agree even more, because Glocks are way overrated. In the same way that John Moses Browning was overrated.
All Things Guns & Ammo
That's true about Glock mags. I have a Ruger PC Carbine, and I have it set up to use Glock mags because they're way cheaper than the Ruger mags. Although I really wish that Ruger would make a factory magwell adapter for SIG P320 mags, but until then I'll just buy Magpul Glock mags.
Since the patents expired, Glocks have basically become the next 1911 with multiple companies making clones. Not something I thought would happen, but there are now a ton of Glock clones out there.

Just buy a CZ and expect everything to be super expensive. Also, 1911's some dude always has to play the "YEA BUT 1911!"
All Things Guns & Ammo
I do own one CZ: an over-under shotgun. I know they make good handguns, but they've never appealed to me all that much.
I've been buying gun-logo stickers from eBay (and using sticker paper to print some of my own if I can't find one to buy) so that I can stick a logo on my gun safe for every brand that I used to own before the tragic boating accident. I have SIG, Ruger, Smith & Wesson, Colt, Volquartsen, Charter Arms, Taurus, Remington, Winchester, CZ, Browning, Marlin, Parker Hale, Kel-Tec, Browning, FN, Springfield Armory, Savage, Kahr, Beretta, and Weatherby.

Might be a long shot. Is anyone a member of the Millvale Sportsman's Club?
All Things Guns & Ammo
Not me, alas. I've heard that club is hard to get into.
All Things Guns & Ammo
It has to be, I can't find anyone that's a member, that wants to talk about it lol. I live like 10 minutes from it, it's the most convenient, but I don't want to go and apply if I can't even get looked at if I have no referrals, I guess.
All Things Guns & Ammo
You didn't just post about it on Reddit, did you lol
All Things Guns & Ammo
I did yea. I can't find **** about **** past their dumpy website.
All Things Guns & Ammo
Probably too far from you but I am a member at Hecla Sportsmans club and our charter reopened October 1
