That's very true, just looked up online and there are like 3 within hundreds of miles from me. Just vanished.

My dream car now is a Nissan GT-R. Love those things tuned out.

If you were considering buying Kumho Ecsta PS31s... don't. I have less than 3k miles on them, and the only reason I haven't replaced them is because I basically don't drive anymore. Performance isn't awful, but I expected better. My biggest issue is that my car pulls to the right thanks to them, and since they're directional, I have no recourse outside of buying two new tires. These will likely be my last set of Kumho based on this experience alone.

Taken in the broader context, and I know this pearl clutching article has been written hundreds of times, but moves like this are what will make Tesla an also-ran in the long run. They'll have their niche Apple-esque following in perpetuity but they idea that they're going to be the biggest name in the EV market forever is nutty.

Also, I can't believe that's an "SUV." Am I the only person who longs for the days that SUVs looked like boxes with wheels? I miss the classic Broncos, Blazers, Scouts, etc. If I had the money, I'd buy one and restore it.

Yeah, there are definitely a few, but they're the exception based on what I've personally seen.

Yeah, I've had this exact conversation with my car enthusiast friends. The sooner companies stop styling EVs to look like EVs for the sake of it, the sooner they'll be adopted. That's why I always preferred something like the Chevy Volt over the Bolt or even Prius. I understand that Prius was breaking ground and *needed* to style it that way. The vast majority of us just want cars that happen to be EVs, not to make a statement.

When EVs first started being a thing, I think there was some sort of feeling in the industry that they had to design them to look like an EV. Whatever that is.

No. Don't do that. It's still a car, it just runs on fancy butt Duracells. Make it look nice, like you do your other cars. Most EVs are just flat out ugly things to behold. I think the Tesla S is elegant and their Roadster is pretty flash, but EVs beyond that...............

I have a vintage Dodge pick up (early 50s) which I used as a prop for photography. Since I've basically retired from photography, I'd like to get it out of my yard. The problem is that it sits in a dip before the tree line, there's no engine, the tires are flat, and the rear axel is locked up. When I bought I had it dropped in my driveway then used a winch system to get it in place. It was not easy and left a huge mess. I'm imagining that getting it out will be equally awful. Anyone have ideas on how I could get it out of there without ripping my yard to shreds?

I was going to say that you can call a scrap yard and they'll generally come get it for free. But they're likely going to rip up the yard. Ideally they come with a flatbed and the only ripping of yard would be them driving on it to get into position.

I wonder if the rear axle is locked up or the transmission is. If it's the latter you can cut through the driveshaft and free it from the transmission. Then it might roll easier.

I have an E-350 Super Duty with enough motor to get it out of there. But I don't have a trailer that would work for this job.

Good question about the axel/transmission. One I'm completely clueless to answer, ha. When it dries out I'll have to check it out and see what I'm dealing with.
