All the sensors in my 61 Vette seem to be working fine.

I have a backup camera and that’s about it. None of the others interest me.

I don’t know how big that truck is. I drove a 98 4-door Tahoe for years and never had a problem parking.

They (2500s) all do.

Mine always stay in the closed position.

By the way, the Palisade and Telluride are both sharp looking vehicles. Just that damn depreciation with Kia/Hyundai that kills you.

Meh. I deal with that my just keeping my cars until they're driven into the ground.

We have three Kia's (Sedona, Sportage, and Sorento) and have had good providence with all of them.

Does anyone know what issues I could face if I enter the wrong mileage into my vehicle registration form? I transposed two numbers, so now it shows my car as having about 5k more miles than it actually does.

That's what happened - I guessed very wrong. I found a form to correct it, but it looks like the DMV wants $55 to process it. Going to call them later to see if this is an actual issue, because I have no intention of giving them money.

I spoke with PennDOT this morning, and they said that all I had to do was send them a notarized letter stating the correct mileage and that they would correct it in the system. It's like $5 for the notary, so I'll go ahead and do that.

I wouldn't even waste my time/effort/money doing that to be honest. Especially for 5k miles.

Hopefully you can get it corrected before they catch you for fraud.

I just don't know what it would mean if I reported it incorrectly on my registration. I assume it is reported at inspection time, but can't confirm that. For $5, and the notary is literally within walking distance of my house, I think I'm good with just playing it safe and fixing my screw up.

Mileage discrepancy is a huge asspain to get fixed by CarFax. So unless you're owning the car for life I'd go ahead and spend the $5 to get it corrected now. Dealers pull Carfax when they process trade-ins, and even if it's obviously a fat-finger mistake they'll take it as an opportunity to both devalue your trade and protect themselves from having the next buyer try and low-ball them. All because you were too lazy to walk out to the garage. For shame.

I've always assumed that the mileage question was pretty much there for the people who register classic/antique cars that can only be driven so many miles per year. I just ballpark it.

Odometer fraud in late model cars is actually on the rise. NHTSA just extended the odometer exemption period from 10 years to 20 years, starting with MY2011 cars.

I'm pretty sure the mileage is off by 5-7k, which is too significant for me to ignore, personally.
