I know with Ford when you tell them you're A Plan buying (Friends/Family) the dealer loses the ability to set the pricing. So you might as well tell them up front. Will likely make your transaction go through a lot faster. They'll likely still try to upsell accessories, etc.

State College is a much nicer place to be in the summer with less students.

Have emailed 3 dealers now about the FCA Affiliate pricing, and a specific vehicle. Every one of them wants me to come in.

No, that's why I emailed you.

Now one wants to talk on the phone to 'better understand my needs'. I literally sent you a stock number which is my 'need'.

No thanks man. email or nothing. You don't want your slimeball conversations in writing, I get it.

Second dealer comes back with an MSRP, then rebates, no mention whatsoever of the affiliate pricing, sales price minus rebates is $1500 off, tax is $700 more than it should be, monthly payments show $100 higher than total amount financed (unless I'm at a 15% interest rate even though it says 0%?).

Seriously. Why are they like this? They are required to SHOW ME THE INVOICE and I have to sign a paper stating that I saw it and pay them a $75 administrative fee for that. So let's stop beating around the bush and show it to me.

They have to pad their nest egg now before they're inevitably replaced by a website.

HE responded that rebates come off the MSRP. Right. So why does MSRP - rebates - discount not = what you told me?

Buying my truck was the largest hassle I've had yet and I've bought like 5-7 cars. All these new discounts and way to get you are mega dumb.

Why not try this mac.
Michigan guy got a PPP ($590.000) loan and instead of using for a business bought two Cadillac Escalades, a Dodge Charger, and a Hummer.

Moving to a smaller place and it would be great to get down from 5 vehicles. So by the end of the year I will likely trade in the BMW Z4 and sell the Dodge Neon SRT-4. I "need" another/different race car for an event next year so I am trying to slim the fleet down some. If I try really hard I can get down to 4 cars. Maybe.

For those of you who received insurance discounts thanks to Covid, what were the terms? MetLife just notified us that we're getting a 15% discount on 2 months of coverage.

Erie sent us a check for like 90$ from our car insurance premium due to Covid. Honestly not sure how much of a % that is.

Erie sent me 60 bucks. I pay 99 a month. I think it was like 10 percent of your 6 month premium.

Nova came today. It's even more beautiful in person. But man, it's not built for a 6'3" 350# Mac.. Lol.. I was so nervous pulling it in my FILs garage (poor guys been at work since 2am, he can't wait to get off at 2p) that I forgot to take the E brake off and stalled it. Old man who delivered it was just laughing. Live and learn.

I think for both of our cars for an entire year we only pay around 1100 or 1200.. can't remember. I know we get a discount cause its bundled with our homeowners. Either way.. it was free money so yay I guess haha.
