My Wrangler has a broken front spring and blown steering stabilizer. So far, the mechanic hasn't see any other problems. I probably won't get it back until Friday though.

lol I broke a front spring a couple of years ago on my wrangler - Teraflex aftermarket. Was largely disappointed in the brand afterwards.

Well, I did mine on a back road - it wasn't at a mall, so maybe?

Trivia: TIL that Eduardo Weber, the founder of Weber Carburetors, was a twice-decorated member of the Italian Fascist Party. Shortly after Italy was liberated, Weber was "taken into custody" by unknown civilians at his factory office in Bologna, and he was never seen again. It has been presumed that he was executed by the Italian resistance movement.

I followed a Model 3 in traffic this morning and it didn't have brake lights. Like when we were stopped, the one or two lines of the turn signal (orange) LEDs in one tail light would light up and blink. No red, only a couple of dozen orange LED lights would come on and blink. How is that possible? No obvious rear end damage either...

My car is in the shop for a few things, one of which is a bad pinion seal. My mechanic is a good guy, been using him for a while and doesn't screw me over with any extras or unwanted fixes. But he said he has no clue how many hours it's going to take to replace it. I can't imagine it's that difficult of a job, but obviously not something I have ever done or want to do.

Any idea on how many hours I'm looking at here? I'm fully expecting the $50 part and 4 hour repair bill.

It took me 15 hours this weekend to replace a catalytic converter and both tie rods in my X5. I'm probably not the best person to ask.

Funny story, I was airing up the wife's tires yesterday evening. Put away everything and later went to bed. 3am I hear this God awful noise that wakes us both up from a dead sleep.

I forgot to shut the compressor off and it must've bled out enough air to kick back on  right on the opposite side of the wall from our bedroom.
