Imagine how far along these would be had big oil and our useless Congress not killed development.
The same way with renewable energy. Carter put solar panels on the White House roof, but Reagan's team had them removed a few years later. Imagine if all of this stuff had got a legitimate shot 40+ years ago.

I sold my spare TL-S seat over a week ago, but it's still sitting in my basement. The guy who bought it had a sick pet at home and was waiting to see a vet, and I haven't heard from him in like 4 days. Hope everything was okay and he just forgot.
The seat was sold more than a month ago, and the buyer paid for it immediately. I've sent him multiple messages without a response, so I'm not sure what else to do here. I'll let it sit in my basement in case he does eventually get back.

Nah, this dude seemed pretty cool, and he's 'restoring' his TL-S, which I appreciate.

PA needs to get it's **** together with their ban on selling cars on Sunday. People with jobs use that day to make big purchases.

Expensive week for Mrs mac's whip.

Did an oil change Saturday, when I noticed the front tires had almost cords showing on the inside. 2 new tires and an alignment. Alignment shop found play in the right wheel bearing after alignment as well. All told it was like an $800 week and I'm even planning to do the wheel bearing myself and my uncle sells me tires at his cost  :(

I have been a part of a lot of weird automotive transactions over the years, but today is really near the top.

I have been talking to a Chevy dealer during the week about a used car they have. It's a real Chevy dealer, not some used car lot. I took off of work today and drove up to near Youngstown to look at the car. Test drove it, made a deal, and got through nearly all of the paperwork. The salesman comes back and says

"We are waiting on a part that needs to be installed, so we can't let you take it home today."

"Pardon?"

"The filler neck for the fuel doesn't seal, so the gas pump thinks it is full and it won't accept fuel."

"Come again? How am I going to get home if I buy this car?"

We did the deal and they gave me my X5 back as a dealer loaner. So now I am driving around Westmoreland county with an Ohio dealer plate on a clapped out X5 that I have labored over for the last year.

When the car is being fixed they're going to deliver it to my house and drive back in the X5. Gives me a few more days to take it off some sick jumps or whatever.

I would definitely be beating the balls off that thing lol

I also thought that was a USMC vanity plate at first glance.

All done. I’m glad I sold it to this guy, because he’s got four other TL’s right now. Selling one of them to buy parts for his TL-S, keeping it on the road.

Square body Chevy trucks are in big demand. That's ridiculous though.

It's all the worst things about modern truck culture put into a '79 truck.

Come to think of it, it doesn't have a Carolina Squat so it could be worse.

I saw that for the first time last summer and still can't believe it's a thing.

It's been outlawed in both Carolinas, so it won't be a thing for long. But yeah. It was endemic down here for the last several years.
