I'll never not be impressed by 10 individual throttle bodies:
Never seen one before. Very cool. Started me looking at some videos about the S85. Nice engines, but rod bearings seem to be an issue?
Wrist deep in the V
8-)
All that is fixed now and I can resume revving it up to its 8,200rpm redline.

I already have the rod bearings but haven't installed them yet. It's a 12hr job at a good indie shop. Waiting until I have a lift.

These motors sound like heaven. :thumb:

Nice work dodint.

That sort of information confirms BMW cars shouldn't be owned outside of warranty.
They do some sketchy stuff sometimes (lifetime fluids, ehhhh) but I have had good experiences with the 13 BMWs I have owned.

This is a neat video showing how this company upgrades that actuator:

Jay Leno burned in gasoline fire in his garage.
a spokesperson at the Grossman Burn Center in Los Angeles, told CNN that Leno was in stable condition, being treated for “burns that he received to his face and hands from a gasoline accident in his garage over the weekend.”

Leno seems like a nice guy, and his car collection is the envy of every car guy. I hope he has a smooth recovery.

I wonder what car caught on fire.

I wonder what car caught on fire.
Apparently, it was his 1907 White Steamer.

Wow. The fueling and starting process, it's no wonder he got burned.

Anybody own a motorhome? Trying to determine if I'm really going to want to tow a little car behind it or not (if I take the plunge).

I've done a bunch of research on them for towing to the race track. But COVID launched the prices of them sky-high and I lost interest.

I have a travel trailer and I guess it depends on what you use it for and where you go, but I would not want to be stranded somewhere without a vehicle to run to the store or somewhere else. I'm just a weekend warrior and going to kid friendly parks while hardly ever leaving the park, but if you wanted to set up and then sightsee you'd be stuck because you're not going to want to set up and then tear down multiple times.

I never thought I'd say this, but the new 2023 Prius looks pretty good.

Probably because you need a class D extinguisher for battery fires, dummies.

The seat memory functions no longer work on my car. I took apart the door panel and tested the module, all good. Fuses and relays are good, too. These little issues are adding up, and I’m starting to get fed up. Still trying my hardest not to get a Type-S, and the only saving grace is that there are none in the color I’d want anywhere near me.

Fine.

I'll sell you one of either my Trailblazer with the rusted frame or my Saab with the squeaky heater blower motor. You pick.

lol... I just need to stop looking at pictures of it. Every dumb little issue that pops up in my TL-S has me thinking "just use it as an excuse to buy a new car".

I mean the absolute horror of having to take 7 seconds to adjust your seat certainly is near the top of the list of reasons why to get rid of it so..

I bet everything in here works perfectly:

The seats even have a c***y vibe to them.

lol, that pattern is literally the only thing I don't like about the interior. I would want that combo, though. The red interior looks gaudy.

I'm glad they took the time to really highlight that 6100rpm redline. If I bought a sporty-ish car that had a redline nearly as low as a diesel I'd want to know too.
