I'm ready to trade my jeep in right now if they offer a diesel version. It's the right size for my wife, if it's too expensive for what it is - I'll be getting a Tacoma most likely.

It also might be the picture, but if there's that much sag in the front end - that's going to be annoying for lifting purposes.

I think Jeep really needs to make that look like the "Crew Chief" concept from a couple years ago, which was a throwback to the original Jeep Gladiator pickup.

The Focus losing it around the outside...yep, I imagine that's what it looked like when a tree ran into the back of my first m3 (although there wasn't anybody else on the road).

This is the latest that I’ve had my summer wheels on my car. I think we only have one more day above 50 in the near future, so I’ll be swapping on the winter wheels on Thursday.

Yep, it's time. They're calling for snow here most of next week, so I'll be getting my winter tires put on Friday.

https://techcrunch.com/2017/11/16/tesla ... -roadster/
esla has unveiled a new Roadster, the new version of its original sports car. It’s the fastest production car ever made, according to Elon Musk, with speeds of just 1.9 seconds for 0 to 60 4.2 seconds for 0 to 100. It can handle a quarter mile in 8.9 seconds.

“This is the base model,” Musk said, then went on to mention that its top speed is above 250 mph. and it has a 200 kWh battery pack that offers 630 miles of highway driving range

I generally don't like cars that have rear windows/decks like that, but damn, that is one sexy car.

I swapped over my winter wheels yesterday afternoon. Got the lugs off the rear driver's side wheel and the jack's saddle must have slipped on the jack plate underneath my car, and the damn thing fell onto the tire, pinning the jack underneath. I had to slide the jack to the front wheel well, and then squeeze it back under the plate to get the car up again. No damage done to anything, but that's precisely why I leave the tire in the well until the last second. I may replace the jack with one that has a large saddle that can cover the entire jack plate just to be safe.

Just watched a supercut of the launch/reveal. Musk said the purpose of the new Roadster is to give a 'hardcore smackdown' to gasoline cars.

If those numbers are actually achieved in a production vehicle, it will be stunning.

My sister looked at a Tesla before she bought a new car last month. She decided against it when they suggested she not even consider the base model because the mileage was pushing it for her to get from her house near DC to her mother's here in Pittsburgh. With AC or heat on it was basically not going to make it. Bumping to the next level (and 75 mile range extension) is a $20,000 increase.

That is the thing that bothers me. I have a 75 mile commute, with electric charging at work. I would have to charge every day, twice a day.
