New Bronco is nice, but they have too many models and package types out of the gate. Some come with certain drive modes, others don't. The only one that has everything is the 60k+ first edition.
They look awesome, but I'm wondering if they're just complex by design to sell people with too much money a mall crawler.

Isnt that the point of 90% or more of the Jeeps and lifted trucks on the road today? I recently moved to Texas and never seen soo many pristine and clean lifted mud tired trucks on the freeways in my life..

With Jeeps, you know what you're getting into 3 main models wise though, Sport, Sahara, Rubicon (then these have special packages).Isnt that the point of 90% or more of the Jeeps and lifted trucks on the road today? Broncos are the Sport, Bronco, Wildcat, Beast, Random Names, First edition
But there doesn't appear to be a consistency in what all the names get you. I'm a Jeep guy, so I understand bias, but they've made it complex lol

That's kind of Chevy's thing. The Camaro and Corvette. packages are all over the place. And the owners talk like the random letter salad is completely obvious.

After the gr8 recession and oil crisis of the mid 2000s, the gladiator and bronco are a sign that america is BACK! nothing is more american that fuel inefficient, unnecessarily big, poorly performing vehicles. this is the true reward of the shale revolution and energy independence. f yeah

There are 7 starting models to the Bronco; Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, Wildtrack, First Edition
Then there's the Sport which is the escape replacement most likely. So 8 total variations of a first edition SUV.

Just got that Veepeak BTE scan tool I linked earlier and tested it out on the TL - worked beautifully. My upstream o2 sensor is showing no voltage at all, so I'm going to replace that and hope that it clears the CEL.Looks like this is the new entry version of mine:
There is an MX+ available but it's $119, so, yeah, no.
Funny thing is I'm in the market for a BMW specific scanner/coder. Haven't decided on one yet. CBear?

I'm using the OBD Fusion app ($10), for the record. It was actually recommended in the scanner's manual, and has like 11k 5-star reviews in the Apple store. I can't believe I have been using a basic cheapo scanner all these years when this stuff was available.

Just watched a 1971 Bronco with 3 speed manual column shifter (302 V8) go for $75,000 on live Mecum auction in Indianapolis.

Vintage Broncos are crazy expensive.

That's insane.

I could think of a few 1971 cars I might go $75,000 for but a Bronco sure ain't on the list.

Replaced the firewall side o2 sensor only to still have the CEL remain on. Guess I’ll be taking it in to the shop after all. Even covid can’t prevent these big car repair bills.

Can't wait for electrics to take over. None of this exhaust system sensor stuff.

Male them less expensive with further distance and more charging stations and you’ll get your wish. Until then, it’ll be the fringe.

By chance have you checked the fuse? My Honda would get a CEL for O2 sensor and it was the fuse. I didn’t see a fuse for the o2 sensor, but will check the service manual again. The weird thing is that I see no voltage on the upstream o2 sensor, even the new one. Thinking that may be normal, though. The code was for poor cat conditions, so it very well could be a legit bad cat. I cleared the code yesterday, remembering that some cars require 50 miles of driving before a code clears, so we’ll see.By chance have you checked the fuse? I believe it is marked as A/F in mine. (air fuel sensor). If it's upstream of the cat that is technically its name, downstream is a different (cheaper) sensor.I didn’t see a fuse for the o2 sensor, but will check the service manual again. My brother bought a travel trailer and we're going to pick it up tomorrow. The plan is to tow it with our dad's truck. It's an 09 Ram 1500. 5.7 Hemi, 3.92 rear end. Class IV hitch. I've added airbag helpers to the rear suspension and installed a Tekonsha P3 brake controller - far as I can tell, top of the line.
Its got a 7000 lb empty weight with about 840 sitting on the tongue. The cargo capacity for the ram is 1450, which puts me and my brother about the only things we should have in the truck. Tow capacity is 8500 lb. It does have a weight distribution hitch on it, but it still is going to be white knuckle driving I feel. I guess we will see tomorrow!
