Tear down of a Model 3 by engineering firm:

I don’t understand how it got to this point. These are flaws that we would see on a Kia in the ’90s or something...I can’t imagine how they released this. It’s just a surprise. A really big surprise for me.

I drove a VW Jetta with the 1.8 turbo engine over the weekend and was not impressed. I guess it's the turbo lag but there must have been 2 or 3 seconds between hitting the gas and the turbo kicking in? Maybe the engine needs to be revved more before going into 1st? My 2.0 Jetta (or as it's called the 2.No) has lots of torque available immediately. Plus the turbo, when it does kick in, sounds like a Japanese motorcycle.

Just watched a Yukon with a rack of some sort on the roof drive into the "6'2 Max Height" bar at a parking garage. Good stuff.

My favorite one of those is a truck that just completely runs the stale red light before smashing into the barrier.

It’s worth noting that a representative for the company told me over the phone that Munro’s biggest automaker clients are the “Big Three.”
You don't say?

I read that article over the weekend. The quotes from the engineer(s) did not help me believe the story.

This was my favorite
He mentions the front doors, whose handles are too difficult to open
Does he understand that the handles sit flush with the door on purpose? Sounds like the guy saw too many techie gadgets and freaked out.

I had an 01 1.8t and it is turbo lag. Once the thing got going though it screamed

Got an old car for this old Geezer. Drove it a little today. Quite nice if you like old stuff. Anyone know the year?

That's super weird. I was just talking about my old neighbor's 58 convertible Vette yesterday afternoon at work.

Nice ride.

You're fairly close. The 58s had chrome headlight bezels and a grille with chrome teeth looking stuff.

Very cool, looks well kept.

Going to make a pilgrimage to the National Corvette Museum with it?

Is that early enough to have the I6?

I believe 61 was the last year for two-tone paint. If I could see the tails it would be easier to be sure, if it has four taillights, yeah, 61.

Gotta be 61 based on the front emblem.

Forget the Miata, what’s the British looking car next to it?

Here are a couple pics of the motors of my British toys with things like carburetors, distributor caps and coils. Slightly different than today's cars. Basically these were tractor motors with lots of torque. The Healey actually had more torque then horsepower and holds 7 quarts of oil. Healey is a 3 liter and the TR6 is 2.5 liter.

If I’m being honest, the Mustang ruins the photo.

In terms of composition, yeah. It should've been to the far left/rear. It's a cool shot, though, a neat study on how to make a Mustang look huge. I wonder how my DMC would look slotted in there.

For starters, it’s a Mustang. On top of that, it’s not driving into a crowd of people.

I was going to post this last time, but gave you the benefit of the doubt and re-framed the issue with a tactful reply, but:

Honestly, go **** yourself.

Yeah, you guys are right. It is a 1961. I'm impressed. Last year for the different color side coves. The Mustang is a fun driver. I'm not a Ford, Chevy or other type guy. Just an old car guy. Most people couldn't even make my old cars move. All of them are manual transmissions.
