They don’t have her generation CR-V, but I found half a dozen on the first page of results under $50. Hopefully should be good.

My wife managed to hit a garbage can so hard with her truck that the mirror smashed apart. Not paying $265 for a new one, so I’ll make my first trip to a junk yard this week. Can’t beat $35.

Why does she drive a truck?

Odd question, but it's an SUV (03 Honda CR-V). She likes sitting up high because she's short.

That's not a truck. I was picturing a F-350 with those dual rear wheels.

The CRV is generally considered a crossover vehicle and is car based. It has unit body construction, without a separate frame, as almost all modern cars are today.

Based on the Civic frame. We owned a 2005 that we traded on the 2008 Odyssey. We'll be trading the Odyssey back in for a 2020 CR-V. I may wait for the Hybrid model, if it's not $40K.

SUVs are just hatchbacks and wagons for people who like to imagine they're too cool to buy hatchbacks and wagons (or minivans).

Or, ya know, people who want a decent AWD/4WD option without buying a pickup truck.

I have a 06 Kia Sportage.

I've never called it a truck.

Subaru. No SUV needed.

This. My wife bought it because it wasn’t massive (Honda Pilot), was reasonably priced, and could fit her upright bass.

As to what it’s classified as, I don’t give a ****.

Ah, yes, Subaru. The company whose flagship vehicle is a SUV/CUV.

The Outback is just a Legacy/Levorg wagon with a slightly lifted suspension and tacked-on plastic body cladding. They still sell the standard Legacy/Levorg wagon in other markets.

The biggest crime in that photo is most assuredly the color of that otherwise gorgeous Ferrari.

Super productive day at the salvage yard. Had 10 items on my list and I found all of them in under two hours, including a kidney grill for the BMW that I have been hunting for since September. Beautiful day for it, too.

Cool thing about picking for the Neon platform is I had about 8 cars to choose from, so not only could I find the part but I also had the chance to get them in good shape.
