Nova came today. It's even more beautiful in person. But man, it's not built for a 6'3" 350# Mac.. Lol.. I was so nervous pulling it in my FILs garage (poor guys been at work since 2am, he can't wait to get off at 2p) that I forgot to take the E brake off and stalled it. Old man who delivered it was just laughing. Live and learn.

Anyone have a newer Legacy? Mrs meow is thinking about dumping her Outback. She’s Subaru loyal, but is bored with the wagon. He don’t really utilize it either

So of the 4 quotes I've received back from dealers for a new Durango, every one is within 100 bucks of the 'everyone qualifies' price on their website.

I don't suppose she'd like a newer Outback? My brother and I will be in the position of selling my mother's car. It's a 2017 (I think a Limited trim) with the 2.5L four with about 30,000 miles and all of the fancy "EyeSight" driver-assist technology.

If anyone else might be interested, let me know.

You take a straight trade on a 2006 Kia Sedona with 160k miles on it?

Maybe if the Sedona comes with a sack containing $15,000 in cash sitting in the passenger seat.

My mother brought the car last fall as a certified preowned with between 25 and 30k miles. She didn't have my brother or me help with the purchase, and she got royally screwed on the price. She paid close to $30,000 when a fair price for a minty example would have been $25,000, tops, and $23,000 would have been better. The car is now upside down to the tune of $8,000 to $10,000, so now my brother and I have that to deal with.

Similar thing happened to my grandfather.

My dad found the salesman.

The general manager of the dealership finally agreed to take the vehicle back.

Nah, that doesn't even bother me. It's when they sense someone is vulnerable and go in for the kill. Happened to my parents also.

Going to my first car show this year tomorrow. They are having one at the American Legion in Rices Landing. Looks like good weather. Spent the day getting my Vette ready. Looking forward to going. Outdoor and social distancing. Should be fine.

Yeah I saw those at Rocky's Route 8. Little too far for me to go for a cruise. I like shows.

I've been debating on heading up to roaring knob with lil mac for the demo derby tomorrow. Nice that deep SWPA is opening up

Ended up going to two shoes this weekend. One in Rices Landing and the other in a WVA park called Brooke Hill. Both had around 70 cars with a bunch of boomers driving them. Both had a DJ with old music and really decent food for a car show. Weather was a little warm but doable. Lots of nutty BSing going on between us old dadholes. Didn't get any trophies but had a good time at both.

Got my MetLife insurance renewal today. No 15% Covid discount in sight, so I reached out to my agent to find out what the deal is with that. Perhaps they used my 15% discount to cover the cost of the letter they sent in the mail letting me know about said discount.

Gas prices quickly going back to $3 a gallon. Gotta love it. Remember when oil was negatively priced? Pepperidge farm remembers.

I miss filling up my van in not-PA. Gas out west/everywhere else was almost half price.

Just finished installing a new Retro Sound radio in my 66 Mustang. The word PITA comes to mind although I probably could have never done it on a newer car. Not bad for an old fart.

Did you use the retro looking head unit?

My FILs nova has one and we can't figure out how to use it
