Is KBB still the preferred spot to price a potential trade-in?

I used Carvana honestly. I figured that's a more realistic option.

I poked around in Carvana a bit - even tried to get a quote for trading in my 2008 Odyssey (which I still haven't received - guess they don't want it lol).

The newest CR-V they have is a 2018, which they have 3-4 available in the EX trim for $24900. I can get a brand new 2020 EX at a lower APR and a 3 year warranty for under $27K.

It's not a criticism of Carvana, but man, Hondas do not depreciate very much.

Ha - check out used Wranglers. A 2013 with 50K+ miles is selling for over $23K on there. I paid, I think, $31K for mine brand new, in 2013.

Same thing happened to me. Pending quote in the system for about a week then it just disappeared.

Paid 22K for mine, was offered 18K for it last year. Only has 39K miles too.

Speaking of Wranglers (which I've always loved, and if I lived in the mountains I would own one):

It's the first car or truck to flip twice during the IIHS' driver-side small overlap front crash test.

Do people expect Wranglers to do well in safety tests?

I wish the Honda pilot had a little bit more towing capacity. If it had 5k (like the Telluride claims), I'd have bought one by now.

The Cannonball record from the Red Ball Garage to the Portofino Hotel has been broken yet again. This time it only took five weeks to break the previous record. The record now is "under 26 hrs, and by a considerable margin."

There is also mention in the video that this group* averaged 120 mph across several states.

* - I think this group involved Ed. It was obviously done by somebody who had completed the run before. Ed only mentions that specific cars that he owns were parked and that another friend's car was parked. That doesn't mean he didn't complete it in a different vehicle. I think he's being a little too careful about how he's describing the group at the end.

Anyone else use Harbor Freight (Pittsburgh) jack stands? There's a recall on a good number of their most popular ones: https://images.harborfreight.com/hftweb ... _61197.pdf

...which leads me to my next question, any recommendations for replacements? I've seen a few people recommend OTC stands.

I'd love one, but i can't justify $1300 for it. Even to myself.

They've been coming up for sale for a few hundred less than that lately. I'll ping you when I see it again.

Acura Type-S concept:

Still not a fan of the headlight design, but I like everything else. I assume they’re going to price this in the $60k range.
Official reveal is next week, and it looks like the concept is basically the final design.

I didn’t know this before, but it’s coming with a 3 liter turbocharged engine. I really hope it’s insanely expensive, because I don’t want a car payment...
