I still have the original battery in my 2015 Kia. The OEM battery in my prior Hyundai also lasted a long time; I think it was something like 8 or 9 years. I think the longevity might be due, at least in part, to my car being garage parked both at home and at work, so it doesn't get exposed to extreme temperatures as much.

Yeah, and mine gets very heavy draws on it often, being a diesel. I think the glow plugs pull a ton of amperage. So hopefully the AGM gives me a bit more longevity. I bought the truck in 2020 so got almost 3 years out of them, and I'm not sure if they were new at the time or not.

I had a Motorcraft that lasted for 180k miles and my father had an Interstate that lasted 12 years.

I actually called the local Ford dealer because motorcraft batteries were the cheapest option for my wife's expedition last year. They didnt have any in the size I needed.

Same with my elantra. I think the OEM battery lasted 8 years.

So I got the new door card from eBay. It's in good shape for being used, but it smells like it was pulled from a car used to hotbox Camel unfiltereds for 20 years.

I know I've seen products to help with that, and I'd go that route before you attempted to install it.

Yeah, I'm not hanging it without a good cleaning. It's just nasty.

We had this wingback chair that belonged to my wife's grandmother, who was a heavy smoker for her entire life. She died in 2000, but the chair REEKED of cigarettes until we got rid of it in 2022. It's nuts how that stuff just permeates everything...almost a indicator not to smoke in the first place.

@Shyster, I was just checking out the 2023 Kia Forte model lineup and the most expensive one is the one with the manual.

I think that model is the Kia equivalent of the Hyundai Elantra N, which I believe is also the only Elantra offered with a manual as well as the most expensive Elantra. I'm still disappointed that neither company offers a hatchback version of either car any more. I've been very happy with my Forte5 hatch.

Saw an ad for an Acura Electric, their first EV SUV, so I looked for more photos of it.

How often do yinz get your tires rotated?

I've been doing it with my oil changes, which is every 6-7000 miles or so. I took my son's Accord earlier this week and they said the tires didn't need to be rotated...which was interesting. They are relatively new, and he doesn't drive a whole lot...but to decline a service? That's weird.

Anyway, that got me wondering if I was rotating too often. The Pilot is up for an oil change today, and with 36K miles on these tires, I'm wondering if it's worth it to rotate them.
