Well. It has J A G U A R on the back in really big letters, and the vanity license plate has the model number (220) in it.

Google Image search does say it's an AMC Matator so your confusion is somewhat reasonable.

I didn't get to drive a yacht from that era, but I did drive my dad's 1960 something 3 on the tree Rambler American quite a bit.

If you want an entertaining read, look into the development history of the Jaguar XJ220. Or even the Jay Leno's Garage episode on the car. Something of a bed shitting.

The only one of them I've ever seen in person was in the Jag dealership in West Hollywood.

Nah, the blacked out windows just make it easier to use white shoe polish like at the drag strip to write “free candy” or “uber” on the windows and then wash it off much easier than paint after the prey is secure.

Got into a hotel in Memphis at about 2am central, left out at 7am. Paid with points so it's not so bad.

I was exhausted in that shot, was in Sulphur Springs, lovely place to see in the dark. Got up at 4am to Uber to PIT Saturday, landed in Houston at 10am, Ubered the 45 min to the dealer, spent an hour there, left at noon, got to Waco by 3ish, left out of there at 5pm, got to Memphis at 2am. Then 12hr drive back today, approaching Columbus now.

In total I have filled the 30g tank 5 times. Getting like 13.2mpg.

Quick turnaround is because wife wanted to go but has to be back to go to school Monday.
