According to Consumer Reports, Chrysler and Dodge cars like the 300, Charger, and Challenger actually have good reliability ratings. I suppose that makes sense considering that they've been making them virtually unchanged for over a decade. Plenty of time to work the bugs out.

Car is in for inspection and didn't pass emissions. Has a bad temp. sensor in the transmission - only a $48 part, but I can't wait to see the labor.

See my post the other day about the pinion seal. Mine was in for tire rotation, oil change and inspection. Coming away with new tires, new brakes and rotors, an issue with the brake lights (fuse) and fuel gauge (never solved) and pinion seal. Went from maybe a $150 bill to 10x that.

Dang. A used 2 door and they still want over 45K. I'm priced out of the Broncos.

First time going to Mike Eddy Service. The shop is up that crazy driveway/hill right across from the Giant Eagle lot exit onto 910.

I had never noticed that driveway. Had to satellite image it on google maps. Guess he does his business based on word of mouth because that is way out of sight for anybody, haha.

Yep, I never knew it was there and I lived just up the road for 7 years. We found out about him threw my in-laws neighbor. Seems pretty fair so far, but I can tell he's trying to gauge how much work we'll do on our own.

I hardly do any car stuff on my own anymore. Just don’t have the time for it. Only thing I do now is I have a set of winter tires for my Camry that I’ll swap out in a couple weeks. Other minor stuff like light bulbs

Yeah, I’m well past doing most things on my car. I just don’t want to be bothered with it.

I change my own oil and air filters and swap my winter/summer tires myself. Stuff like bulb replacements I would also do myself. Pretty much anything else goes to a professional mechanic.

I've been very fortunate with both this Kia and my prior Hyundai that neither really required all that much in the way of repairs. Other than new brakes, which I would count as a wear item anyway, my Kia has needed no repairs. Literally nothing has broken.

Most of these luxury SUVs can tow up to 7700lbs. They already have big motors and brakes, just a matter of certifying the hitch.
