I paid $2.54/gallon for gas at sams club in robinson this morning. That almost feels like a price mistake.

$2.55 in East Freedom @ getgo. In Bedford 22 miles south, it’s $2.89.

I paid $3.17/gallon for 93 this weekend. Sadly, that’s the lowest it has been in 6+ months.

The marathon down the road from my place is 2.85. The Marathon (it's either a marathon or Exxon, I forget) near Settlers Ridge, which might be 2 miles down the road, is 2.99.

24 Hours of Lemons actually sounds sweet.

Yeah, had a punny name that slips my mind right now.
Happy for the track but I am not a LeMons fan.

I stopped in RTC last night, drove right by it on the way to Target.
I definitely plan to stop there during lunch today.

Yeah, that was it.
I'm more excited that they got Trans Am to come out and run some pro races. I really want them to get a PWC date or something else that can get them national exposure. It's a fantastic race track and a lot of people outside of the region do not know about it.

@mac5155, yes it's still 2.54 at Sam's.
@dodint I always forget to check out that place despite being there for several events in the last year or so. When BMW used to do their test drives, which seemingly worked because that's how I ended up getting convinced to buy my 228, they had two events at PittRace. One was a closed course, take the car through the cones for several laps. The other, and I could be wrong on this, was that they had a separate, upgraded test drive on the track. When I did my cone course drive, there were also a number of bimmers on the track that looked relatively new. Could have been coincidence, could have been something related that wasn't available to us common folk. Don't know.
The other event that I went to was during vintage car week where they were running different makes and models of cars. I didn't quite understand the classes, even after looking at this, but nonetheless it was still fun to watch over a long weekend.

Vintage classing is tough, yeah. The have so much ground to cover, going back to pre-war stuff all the way to formula cars from a few decades ago. It's always a fun spectacle, though.
I want a mid-1990s NASCAR someday. They pop up all the time for less than $10k. No use for it other than running in vintage races, though.

I see VDCA has cleaned up their classes: https://www.vintagedrive.com/cars-groups
They now have the familiar 8 over arching classes, but if you look close you can see that they are subclassed. I could ~55 sub-classes in total. When I last looked in 2010 they were running 28 classes.

Track days and SVRA. Easy to work on and readily available parts

Yup. Nothing intricate about them. They're basically the opposite of an amateur formula car.
For some reason vintage NASCAR road cars seem to pop up. Maybe they didn't get smashed up as much. Teams had a road and oval setup and when the teams folded my guess is they couldn't unload the road cars as easily and they sit mothballed.

it was weird on some of those classes. Group 1 was all British cars and all relatively in the same engine/weight class. But they had a BMW group that was all over the place. There was a mid-late 90s M3 that was running largely uncontested, and then in the back of the pack was something that really looked out of place. I want to say it was something like a 2002 or a 1600, but it wouldn't match up with the description that is on the site.

I don't think the words track and Isetta have ever been used in the same sentence.
I should probably check youtube before posting... nah, I'm all in.

Reason I ask is the E9 3.0CS is a very small coupe. It's one of my all time favorites, a pic of me with a CSL at the BMW Museum:
Thought maybe you weren't getting a sense of size from the picture I posted earlier.

nah, the 2002s have always stuck out to me. Somebody in my neighborhood used to have one when I was in HS and I was always liked it because it was such a different looking car.
I started looking for one after I got rid of my 228 and didn't have as much of a payment with the new car. Unfortunately, the only 2002s on the east coast are a fortune or are full of rust and are still a fortune. I could probably find something on the west coast, but I'm really taking a gamble when you consider it's a 40+ year old foreign car that has probably been sitting. At least on the east coast, I can make a weekend out of the drive and if it doesn't work out, then I can drive away knowing that it wasn't meant to be.
I found one on ebay last month that was quite cheap. I messaged the seller a few hours after it was listed. It was gone by the next morning.
