I think that’s your way of asking me to start a Photoshop Friday request thread.

Someone care to give me the TLDR for the Tesla semi?
Is it going to weigh like 10k pounds more with the battery? So payload reduced?
Is it going to cost a half a mill?

Short range day trucks. Wal-mart bought a bunch. Range is only like 600 miles so they're not suitable for OTR.

my wife has a 3 year lease on a subaru. she has about 14 months left. we largely chose subaru based on her commute and proximity to employer at the time. she will be having a significantly shorter commute, ergo less proximate to dealer.

this is our first lease

is it possible to go to a dealer and trade in a lease and get a used vehicle with a lower rate? is there any way to get out of leases?

Yes, it's just like trading in a car that has a current loan on it. Call your lease company and find out what the current payoff value is, you'll have to get that much in trade, or pay the difference, if you want to trade it in.

Anyone ever have a remote start system installed? My car is typically parked around behind the house, so going outside, turning it on, coming back inside can be a bit... well, I'm lazy and want to hit a button from inside.

I'd imagine this isn't something I'd want to mess around with installing myself, just pay the man to get it done?

I was kind of thinking about an aftermarket one for the Mazda, but I've heard a few nightmare stories about aftermarket remote start systems. If you decide to do it, don't go cheap on the system or the shop. There's really only one place within 50 miles of me that I'd trust to do it..

The Regal has factory remote start that turns on the heated seats and heated steering wheel automatically when it's below freezing. Love it.

I saw bestbuy had a deal going on with the starter and install for ~$300 which I didn't think was bad. The starter itself was about half that and the install was the other half. I know my wife wants one but the car she drives is over a decade old and I have no clue how much longer it's going to live.

Best Buy. Good luck.

I had a remote start on a car in high school. Would start randomly on its own while I was nowhere near it. Good times.

If you have the car’s service manual for the electrical diagrams, and are competent in circuitry and electrical work in general, you can probably install a remote starter yourself. If either of those is foreign to you, pay somebody else (an independent shop, IMO) to do it for you.

I’ve had a Valet 561T in my TL since 2007 and it has been flawless. Uses my factory keyfob, too, which was a must for me.

This year's Motor Trend Car of the Year is the new Alfa Romeo Giulia. I don't care about the title, and just wanted an excuse to post some photos of this gorgeous car.

Coming back from lunch, I parked next to a Fiat 500-L. I gotta say, I really want one of those. However, I am famously cheap and my Toyota is only 7 years old. On the bright side, I assume I'll be able to buy a hybrid (at least) version, when it comes to time to get a new ride.

Fiat 500s are also cheap, so that works for you. I cross shopped them with the MINI but I didn't like the seat.

I like the Giulia, but I'll wait for the coupe. And then wonder why I don't just buy a 4C instead.

The Giulia is OK looking, but overpriced for what it is.

I wouldn't kick it out of bed, but ...

I don't get the obsession (Clarkson-related I guess) with the Alfa front end. Looks like it's sucking a lemon. Not quite Ford Edsel level, but close.

That may be one of the ugliest Civics ever created. Plus, I love my TL-S. Never selling that car.

I've been looking at trucks, I'll never spend 25K+ on used F150 with 60K+ miles on it. That's obscene.

John Cena Is Being Sued By Ford For Reselling His New Ford GT
Remember how Ford hand-picked its buyers for the $450,000-plus Ford GT supercar? Wrestler John Cena was one of the 500 lucky ones who got one, but he quickly sold the car afterwards. Now Ford is taking him to court, as buyers were contractually obligated to keep the car for two years before selling it.
He had the car for around 3 1/2 weeks before selling it. Co-worker thinks he might have bought obo a friend like a straw purchase; took delivery, did his contractual obligation as an 'influencer' by talking about the car on his vlog, then sold it to a friend, who was the intended buyer all along.

Good luck with that case. How the **** are you going to sue a guy that you can’t even see?
