As you should, peasant.

Trucks are stupid expensive these days, especially considering that most people who buy them probably don't really need them.

$77k for a pickup is insane.

I'm fairly certain my Honda has P0171 and has for about 2 years now. It has 344k miles. It's a bad mass airflow sensor. I must have a wiring issue cause it blows the fuses. I still get 28mpg so I just ignore it.P0171. Already checked all of the hoses, and they’re all connected and in good shape. I’ve read dozens of posts on Acura forums about the issue, and the TSB has fixed most of them. On others, the valve adjustment solved the problem. What code you have? Lean is usually unmetered air getting into the engine. Check all your vacuum hoses, etc. There are two oil leaks on my car, one near the timing cover, and one near the oil filter housing. On top of that, my CEL is on right now with a lean condition code. It could be a) a PCM flash from Honda (per a TSB) @ $154, a total fuel system cleaning @ $500+, or a valve adjustment at who the hell knows what. The car doesn't even have 69k miles on it, and purrs like a kitten, so I very much doubt the fuel system is an issue. That said, I do use the local grocery store gas station, and there's a chance of bad gas. I got this same code last month, but it cleared itself two days later. I think I'm going to hold off, see if it clears, and then try another gas station for a few months.
Still cheaper than dropping $55k+ on a new car.

I went to look at f150s and the XLT with sport appearance package was 55k. It had about 1/4th the options that my Cherokee limited I was trading in had... And was offered 11k for.Just went to GMC site and configured a fully optioned Sierra 1500 Denali.

My car has a MAP sensor, but nothing I’ve read points to it. I’m having the PCM flashed next week, and am filling up at a different gas station today. On top of that, P0171 is a lean condition on bank 1. If the MAP were bad, it'd be throwing the code for both banks.

New Passat wheels:
I'm not sure I like them. They look bad here:

I think they could look better on a car shaped more sporty.

That car could be had for less than half your minimum cost car.

That's certainly not my minimum, nor would I want to spend it; just what the new cars I'd want cost around. Nothing I can do about that.

Ugh. One of my personal pet peeves is directional car wheels. I loathe directional car wheels.

Maybe that's not what it was called. Idk. It's the oxygen sensor upstream of the catalytic convertor. It's right in the Exhaust manifold. My car has a MAP sensor, but nothing I’ve read points to it. Bank 1, sensor 1 on my car is the manifold on the firewall side, above the cat. A bit of a dodint to get to, as I have to remove the strut tower bar to gain access. If the PCM upgrade doesn't work, I'll likely go the o2 sensor route, since that's what resolved the issue for a lot of other people - contrary to the service manual.

It's a 3.5 v6 right?
I think I used a universal to get mine out. Once it's loose it was fairly easy. It was like a 150 dollar part but worth a shot.

Yep, it's a 3.5. I can get to it, just need to remove a few things. It's also a $100 gamble because the sensor apparently tested okay by the shop.

My first oil leak is the crankshaft seal. So, they basically have to do another timing belt change (which was done less than two months ago). The second leak is either the oil filter housing or one of the plugs. I'm assuming it's the housing, since that's what my luck has been like lately, but we'll see. Won't get my car back until Thursday because I won't let them use non-Honda parts, and I have no intention of even looking at the bill when I get it.

My parents just had two oil leaks fixed on their 2008 BMW 535...$4800. I felt ill for them, but it's still way cheaper than a new one.

The Mini is currently sitting in the garage while I try to locate and fix oil leaks...and that can't start until after the fence is touched up and the basement gets farther along.
