Only a couple hundred made that year right? 440?
Has the 440 call out on the hood graphic:

Someone said this in 2014:
There were only 375 of these made, making it one of the rarest MoPar Muscle cars produced.

The acceleration on the G-wagon. Got to be an AMG, right?

I guess it could also be from a film of some sort. There wasn't a source listed.

I think it looks cool for what it is. Kind of an elongated FR-S. Or even a better take on the new Supra.
It all comes down to price. I love what I see, but if they price it where I think they may, I'll have to walk. I'm not thrilled about the lack of specifics in terms of the powerplant, though. 3 liter turbo, but zero stats on the power. Available next spring, which means they won't release any details until winter.
Just read that the Type-S is going to have 355 HP and 354 lb-ft of torque. That's very underwhelming, to say the least. Acura says the new frame will be lighter than ever, so it would need to be a few hundred pounds lighter than other cars in the same class (M340i, S4, etc.). I'm going to assume that it's probably going to run around $55k, too. With so much uncertainty around covid, and me working from home full time now, I think this car may just be a year too late for me.

Man, my father in law is getting boned, bad, with his Nova.

So far it has:
Run out of fuel the first day he bought it because the gauge doesn't work properly
Wipers don't work properly
Speedometer bounces
Hood cowl is loose and fender misaligned
Drive shaft at least 3 inches too short
Fuel pump malfunctioned today resulting in a tow

He's not willing to even complain to the dealer because he bought it "as is" but that's a lengthy list of problems for a supposed complete restoration.

That sounds expensive.

It's been not terribly expensive, but when you drop $40k on a full restoration, you expect the basic sht to work.

Yep I learned my lesson the hard way also. A PPI by a good inspector is super important.

Yeah, definitely. I think he was just so happy to find one he overlooked a lot of stuff. Not my money, so oh well. But it sucks for him.

Re: the driveshaft.. yeah, me either. He was getting some bad vibration, but just chalked it up to it being a 427 in a freaking Nova...So I climb under and see like 1 inch of the yoke was actually in the tailhousing. At least 3 inches were hanging out. So it wasn't getting good spline contact. I dont know if they just had one laying around? used one off another car? No idea. But it sadly sounds like a hack build. He's getting it right.

All this driveshaft talk made me think about something: my last RWD vehicle was a 1998 C1500. /csb

3/5 of my cars are RWD. Given I've owned 13 BMWs I'd bet my the majority of my cars have had driveshafts.

It had t-tops, which I did love, but also a 305 TPI, which I did not. Swapped in a 350 a year or so before selling it.
