Good projectors will cut through fog and snow better than reflectors. The only reason you don’t see more factory projector fog lamps is because of cost.
The fact that replacement HID bulbs for my wife's cherokee cost like $80 each sucks, but they are very nice headlights.

Any Rogue owners on here have loss of power conditions? Coworker has a 2016 Rogue and his wife said it repeatedly "won't go but acts like it wants to". I am guessing it's CVT or T-case related. Naturally, NTF at the dealership.

@Shyster

Saw that earlier. I feel like I'm losing a good friend. :(

It's only going up by eight inches, however, so hopefully the canopener will continue to prey on victims. A lot of the shorter box trucks will now fit, but there will still be overheight vehicles.

RIP Flex. Our ‘18 is now 2 years old, 33k and we love it. Only disappointment is they discontinued the white top by ‘18. Mrs. Franchise says she has Flex Envy every time she sees one.

That's why they invented vinyl.
My '09 Flex has 160k and shows some wear, but still dependable. Only reason I'll be getting rid of it is to get an Expedition to tow the Mini around (my new plan).

Which Expedition? I know there is a certain early 2000s model that are like hens teeth and are still carrying a ton of value. Might be the 7.3L, not sure, but they're put on a high pedestal by racing folks. Unless I'm thinking of the Excursion.

All I know is I couldn't afford it so I ended up with a van with the same tow specs but it's not nearly as sexy. ;)

Looking at late 2000s EL models, only the 5.4. The 7.4 looks like it was only in the Excursion.

Ah, cool. I know I ultimately passed on the Excursion because I sleep in my tow vehicle on race weekends and the van makes the best use of space in that regard.

We're starting to look at the feasibility of getting a small RV (~20ft) to tow the car with. I'm not super excited about the idea because I use my van for other things in life and the RV can't do that. But the longer race weekends would be a lot more comfortable in a small RV. I just can't see paying $20k+ for something I'll use a few weekends a year. Plus I'd likely have to upgrade to an enclosed trailer since I carry my tools, parts, etc in the van on these trips. Maybe I'll look into renting an RV a few times to see how I like it. This wouldn't be a thing for like 5-7 years but it's kicking around in the back of my mind.

Yeah, dual use is very important to me. I may get rid of the JCW in all this so the tow vehicle will also be my daily.

The B-Spec field is already looking pretty good for Runoffs 2020 at Road America. I've been asked to work it, maybe you'll be there? :D

That's the goal! And it should get the same treatment as Spec Pinata in Time Trials, so I'll be able to run T5.

You should customize a sprinter van.

This is a long shot, but I had a 2005 Altima that ran into a similar problem. The issue was with a camshaft sensor I believe. I doubt Nissan a 2016 model would have the same problem has a 2005 model but you never know with manufacturers.

Not sure I could even drive this. An electric Mustang with 900 HP and 1,0000 ft lbs of torque hooked to a 6 speed manual transmission. Probably need a set of tires monthly. It's called a Mustang Lithium.

I can’t wait until the first video of that thing peeling out onto the road and slamming into a median.

Calling for 5-8 inches or more here by tomorrow. Got the snow tires on the Mazda the other day.

Speaking of snow tires, any good recommendations on where to get a spare set of used wheels for the sole purpose of putting on a set of winters? There aren't any places around me where a) they can do the work around my schedule and b) costs less than $100. So if I buy a used set of wheels, I'll more than make up for that $100 in 2-3 seasons by doing the swapping myself.

Craigslist is probably your best bet for cheap wheels, with eBay close behind, IMO. As for the tires themselves, I've been running General Altimax Arctic's for 6 years now and highly recommend them. They're an outstanding bang for your buck, IMO.
