Yeah and they have part grades on them. It's more of a way to narrow down where to go then you can call and ask.

This is true. Some of the stuff I’ve looked for haven’t been within driving distance, so I’d be relying on them shipping it to me sight unseen.

As dodint predicted, I got a reduced price offer right after I put it on my watchlist. Very cool.

Yeah, I don't buy anything in the first day anymore. It's a selling feature and does it automatically if the seller activates it.

Is that an eBay motors thing, or across the board? I’ve had stuff in my cart for multiple days in the past and can only recall ever seeing one deal show up.

Across the board. I just got one for a netbook yesterday.

You can ask them to send you a few pictures before you buy it...This is true. Some of the stuff I’ve looked for haven’t been within driving distance, so I’d be relying on them shipping it to me sight unseen.

huh, so I didn’t realize this was so controversial but how do y’all feel about hazard lights being on when there’s significantly poor weather conditions eg heavy rain?
I’ve always been pro hazards, particularly when driving a bit under the speed limit. But I read some opinions online that people that do this are idiots. I’m open to changing my opinion but my initial thought are that hazards are much more beneficial in those circumstances than harmful
Also keep in mind this is a rare occurrence for me. I’d say this happens to me maybe 2 times a year, not something I do every time it rains

it’s also interesting to see how state laws have different views on this. In Florida it’s illegal to have your flashers on while moving but in NY it’s illegal to NOT have them on when you’re driving less than 40 on the highway
Cars & Bikes, Driving & Riding
Flashers are good if visibility is extremely low and you're not driving the speed limit.
Cars & Bikes, Driving & Riding
I guess if it's dangerous enough to need flashers then I'd probably just not be driving. Idk. I've never had to do it
Cars & Bikes, Driving & Riding
This is what tail lights are for.Flashers are good if visibility is extremely low and you're not driving the speed limit.
Hazards are for a localized condition affecting a single car or a specific geographic area enduring an unusual hazardous situation. It's not for driving the speed limit in the rain. As ulf said, if you are experiencing a hazardous condition unsafe for travel you shouldn't be in the flow of traffic at all.

75 Pa.Code § 4305(b)(1) and (c):
PA requires flashers if due to weather you are unable to maintain a "speed consistent with the normal flow of traffic."(1) The driver of a motor vehicle or combination equipped with simultaneous flashing signals shall use the signals when the vehicle is unable to maintain a speed of at least 25 miles per hour because of weather, grade or other similar factors or is unable to maintain a speed consistent with the normal flow of traffic.
(c) Use below minimum speed limit.--The driver of a motor vehicle or combination equipped with simultaneous flashing signals shall use the signals when the vehicle is not maintaining at least the minimum speed established in accordance with the provisions of section 3364 (relating to minimum speed regulation).

That has zero meaning. What's normal in ______ weather?
Cars & Bikes, Driving & Riding
I can see two interpretations: (1) you are unable to maintain the same speed that traffic would normally travel if there were no bad weather (e.g. the speed limit is 65 but due to fog you're doing 45); or (2) you are unable to maintain the same speed that other cars are driving in the bad weather (e.g., everyone else is still pretty doing 55 in heavy rain, but because your tires are almost bald you are only doing 35). I agree it's not clear which it is.

Yeah, it was a dig at the lawmakers. I dislike ambiguity.

dodint, did you ever take the written test to get your license in PA?
Cars & Bikes, Driving & Riding
Yes, at the turn of the millennium.
Cars & Bikes, Driving & Riding
I use flashers when behind a buggy so I don't get rear ended.

I took the PA Driver's test at the Highland Park DMV, on a computer way back in 1990. It had an internal road course back then, too. It looks like it's now a police station and bike trail. Interesting.

Drive Selection Malfunction. Because of a sensor inside of a strut/shock. Yay high tech vehicles I guess lol
