Modern sports/super cars are being designed by people who watched too much Speed Racer and played with the fictional Hot Wheels cars instead of the classics.

Ever see those Corvette Giveaway commercials during Pens games? The 65 Stingray is gorgeous, even though it's white (@Willie Kool), but they put a Lingenfelter LS3 in it. I know the 396 can't compare performance-wise, but I'm not a fan of cars like that with modern power plants.

Self-driving cars will be great. They'll get the dimwitted morons that can't merge from behind the wheel and into the backseat where they can give their iPhones undivided attention. The rest of us will have much less congested and safer roads.C1's are still the best looking Vettes. At least in this old guy's opinion. Also great fun to go through the gears and drive on 2 lane roads. Self driving cars are coming and are going to suck.

My uncle has a 67 Chevelle 396SS. It's no LS3 but it still gets me tingly when he chomps on it.Ever see those Corvette Giveaway commercials during Pens games? IMO Self-driving cars and driver cars on the same highways will be very bad. I can see many issues. For one, If I have a self driving car will I be able to set the speed 20 mph over the limit or will they be required to stay at the speed limit? Since self-drivers know how fast they are going will they be allowed to speed? If everyone is required to have a self driver do we even need things like a drivers license, traffic lights, speed limits or traffic police? Lots of issues to deal with when they start producing them which is suppose to be soon.Self-driving cars will be great. Every time I'm reminded that dodint's alias is about the car, it saddens me.

The 2.7L was a complete piece of crap. Saw a bunch with trashed bearings and cranks at less than 50K.

Never put that together, but totally see it.

The last one I had rusted out in 2007. If I needed a cheap daily driver I wouldn't hesitate to pick one up again. They were big, comfortable, and quick for their size. By the end I had my last one extensively upgraded and customized to my liking, not sure I could ever go home at this point as I'm not willing to do all that work again.

To be fair, that's a whackadoodle abbreviation.

Given my current line of work people assume it's short for DoD Intelligence which is worse, really, given it's a personal account.
