The rust isn't terrible on the body. The bottom of the passenger's side door is rusted out. The driver's side door is wrecked. The bed is rock solid. I don't know what the frame's like but it was solid when I bought it. It's really just within the last 2 years that it started sinking in.It doesn't look too horrible, but it's also up to the running boards in mud from the bed back, so...Is the thing rusted out? $1750 hot damn!

Do you know what year it is? 1953 and earlier B-series trucks bring 20 - 35K restored. There's only one small rut where the wheel with a tire off the rim dug on. And it's been dry this spring so it actually didn't leave a mess where it was parked either. All things considered, I was quite impressed and pleased.Do they plans for doing anything with it? Hopefully it's not going to the crusher.Well, they brought a large pick up with a 30 foot flatbed trailer and winch. My driveway is very narrow due to a fence. When I saw it, I never thought they'd even get the tow truck in, let alone get the Dodge out. After about 15 minutes, they maneuvered it in though and didn't take out the fence or any trees. Extraction was easy as pie and, for some reason, the back wheels now turn.
Another photographer bought it. So it'll live on through pictures and I'm $1750 richer.

Then you have the people that allow their car's sensors to be clogged/blocked and chaos ensues.Even as a full on Tesla fanboy, I gotta say I don’t see any way self driving is a thing for decades to come.
When I pull out of my driveway into my neighborhood, my car thinks the speed limit is 45 mph. I don’t have the full self driving option so I don’t know how it would treat that situation, but it’s one of several daily occurrences where the car doesn’t know what’s going on at all (at least based on what I see in the display).
Seems like it’s still a pipe dream beyond city + highway. I also think people would be very frustrated with how long self driving takes to pull out of red lights and whatnot.
My hot take is that this goes nowhere until new technology has every vehicle on the road capable of pinging other vehicles, and they’re all programmed not to hit each other.
But...I do love the assisted driving that comes free with every Tesla. Unbelievably useful.
