I replaced the door actuator in my wife's CR-V over the weekend. The glue that is used to secure the plastic moisture barrier to the interior door panel is the next closest thing to an actual metal weld. I've used construction adhesive with less tack.

Anyone have any experience with current Volvos? Mrs Tif's fleet Audi is about to be reclaimed, and the only sedan option she has now is an S60.

I looked at the S60 a year or so ago. Nice car, but very overpriced, IMO.

I actually kind of like Volvos. Wouldn't take one over in Audi but she could do a lot worse.

That fits, yeah.

Before I bought the blue BMW I was kicking around the idea of buying a C5 Z06 Vette and I was going to buy a Volvo XC70 to do winter duty. It was one of the few wagons I liked.

Make no mistake: She doesn't want to give up the Audi. But she's termed out (the car hit its three-year limit last month, despite the fact that she has only had the car since July '16), and Audi is no longer a fleet option at her company.

Yeah, I wouldn't take a Volvo over an Audi, but what are you going to do?

I guess the question is more 'is the Volvo sedan good enough at car that she shouldn't bother looking at the SUV options'. Honestly don't know what's available there (I'm guessing they have Volvos, too).

Depends on the SUV options. Volvo's SUV is fugly, FWIW.

Took the DMC to the local Boy Scout pinewood derby, let some kids sit in it and take pictures. I think the Dads were more excited than the kids, hah. Good stuff, first time I have driven it somewhere for the sake of driving it.

Sitrep: Mrs Tif's new car is actually an S90. I have serious questions as to whether or not it will fit our driveway.

I’ve already begun a Kickstarter project to support the driveway expansion.

I don’t think I have ever seen an S90 before. It’s quite boxy.

I'm looking at a new hood for my car and found one that says it is an OEM replacement:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009D ... JT9B&psc=1

JCWhitney has the same (but for $30 more):

http://www.jcwhitney.com/details/Volksw ... l#plpslot1

Does this look like it's legit "OEM" like? Meaning will it fit with existing hardware easily.
