The one in Bridgewater closed in around 2005.Sounds exactly like the one in Beaver. Not sure if it's still thereI’m not sure if it was a chain. We had one in our town when I was a kid that took over the old Bonanza building. It was the first place I’ve ever seen that encouraged peanut shells on the floor. They also did the whole dance thing and, yes, had boot shaped glasses. Texas Roadhouse basically stole everything from Boots. Is there more than one? We went there in college a few times, loved drinking out of das boot.Boots? What was the restaurant that served you peanuts at the table, and everyone threw them onto the floor? That was nasty, and we only went once.

I recall the Wendy's in Altoona my freshman year of college still had gold metal ashtrays at each table.

Unrelated to how a McRib is actually prepared, that McDonald's is so much cleaner than I imagined a McDonald's kitchen would be.

Cleanliness is not the issue at mcdonalds, it's what percentage of that item is real food

A video like that does not move me other than to question how could the McRib possibly cost too much to keep on the menu permanently. I mean, I just had one yesterday.

"define 'real'"
Yeah, @Troy Loney what are you referring to? The meat isn't real? I'm guessing they use 70/30 beef in their hamburgers.

Based on the Business Insider article I just read, they grind their own 80/20 beef.

I'm an admitted monster, but I'll gladly eat some standard McD's cheeseburgers or quarter-pounder, which are pretty solid since they made the change to fresh beef.I have a few cheeseburgers a year and they're good.Based on the Business Insider article I just read, they grind their own 80/20 beef.

Moving the quarter pounder and to a fresh patty did indeed make the quarter pounder a better sandwich

That makes sense. A few years ago i ate my first McDonald's burger in maybe ten years and actually found it good. Been getting the quarter pounder occasionally over Wendy's since then.

Their spicy chicken sandwich isn't bad either. Lazy sauce application but the chicken is real. And the fish sandwiches can be great. I hadn't had McDonald's like i mentioned for a decade since the quality was rat guts but they've improved massively

My guess is the margins are pretty slim on them and got even slimmer. You can't touch an 8 pack of tortillas for under like $4 these days.. But an 8 pack of buns is about a buck.Never understood that. The wraps were tremendously inefficient for a business whose chief (only?) value proposition is speed of service. They were also wildly unpopular. No one goes to McDonald's for the salads, and the wraps were no different. People go to other places for 'healthy'-adjacent fast food.
