I made the mistake of getting some popcorn chicken from KFC for the first time in 10+ years. I took one bite and chucked the rest. All breading, a sliver of chicken, and rock hard. I doubt these could really be any worse.

I'm not sure why anyone gets anything other than the Chicken sandwich at KFC anymore.

The kangaroo agrees. The only thing I don't get is the justification of eating one (other than the obvious environmental impact and/or lack of eating meat ). They taste good but have an asinine amount of fat and are just as expensive as regular meat.

Get the Just Bare nuggets at Costco and do them in the air fryer.

Great, quick “popcorn” chicken

"Other than the obvious environmental impact" is taking up a lot of space here. That fat content contains zero cholesterol and is roughly equivalent to an 80/20 blend of ground beef.

I've committed to choosing an Impossible when available when we go to restaurants where it's an option for the thing I want to get. I'm firmly in the 'reducetarian' movement.

About twice a year we get the family bucket at KFC. Nice to pick it up and take it to a park for a picnic. There are no other chicken places near us, so it's what we have. There's a CFA on the way home from work, but I've had it with the lines there. Last two times it was a 45+ minute wait

There are a few around but I go to Homestead out of convenience. That location also has much better health department inspection scores...

I always wondered what that place was like. Never knew a single person that ate at one.

I remain quite snarked off that Popeyes dropped "Cajun rice" from their menu. Irrationally so.

I ate too much chik fil a when they came to Altoona. Too much. Haven't gone back in 3 years. It tasted too good which started grossing me out. Can't explain it clearly.

None of those 3 are within 25 miles of me. KFC is. But I rarely go there.
