I have never had (and likely never will have) CFA or Bojangles. So I'm happily left reveling in the glory that is Popeyes.

I wasn’t aware there were people that existed that never went to CFA.

Popeye's is on the PA Turnpike too, isn't it? I think I have a negative connotation of it because I associate it with rest areas. Kind of like Roy Rogers.

Anyone remember the 'old days', like, 1995 when the Burger Kings on the turnpike in OH/IN were cafeteria style? You'd go through with a tray and just pick stuff up from underneath the heat lamps like you do at Lernerville Speedway. As a kid I thought that was awesome.

It is, and yes, it's not nearly as good as non-TP locations. Also, don't you speak ill of Roy Rogers you bastard.

When I lived in Montgomery Village, MD, there was a standalone Roy Rogers right next to the Lakeforest Mall. Definitely hit that place up often.

I worked at a Roy Rogers in college, and back then they still made the dinner biscuits from scratch..ie cutting the shortening into the flour manually. Their breakfast biscuits had the flakes of shortening premixed.

Popeyes (ahem, no apostrophe) is an American gem. Love me some dirty Cajun rice and spicy fried chicken.

And then brag about it because of Popeyes.

I live in The Land of CFA so they're everywhere. I do wish they would sell their chicken minis all day instead of just at breakfast.

Same here, although I was in their drive-thru lane one time I was in the area before I realized what I was doing. Got the hell out of there pretty quick...

The CFA here is always packed and drive through wrapped around the building. Always always busy which is why I don't stop more often. When I do feel like waiting their stuff is very good.

We obviously aren’t talking about the same Popeyes. I’m talking about the fast food chicken “restaurant” that tastes like absolute garbage

To be fair, those Carolinians have much more grease to eat...so maybe Popeyes isn't good to them...

I find CFA to be much quicker and more efficient than other fast food places.

Popeyes was better than I remembered it being. Maybe better than Bojangles? I'll have to get Bojangles on the Wake Forest trip and compare. For now I'd go Canes, CFA, Popeyes/Bojangles tie.

It is ironic how much Chick FIL A is hated given that they treat and empower their employees more than 95 percent of similar companies.
