To copy my post from last year:

Bojangles is great but over Zaxby's is questionable. Poor seeding. BW3 shouldn't beat anyone in the bracket. I did extensive research on this topic while stationed in Charleston.

The correct rankings:

1.) Popeye's
2.) Raising Cane's
3.) Zaxby's
4.) Bojangles
5.) Chick-fil-a
6.) KFC
7+.) who cares, other than.......

This ranking is, of course, only for chicken. Bojangles wins on biscuits, with Popeye's a solid second. Zaxby's and Raising Cane's get points off for using toast, though Cane's Sauce is a good redeemer. Popeye's seasoned fries are the fry winner, but dirty rice at Bo's is the overall side dish winner. Cole slaw and mashed potatoes go to KFC because they're awesome. Popeye's was the sweet tea winner largely by default; on our glutenous day of testing the new kid at Bo's put salt in the tea instead of sugar.

Damn it do I miss Charleston.

We just got a Popeyes. While I trust Dickie Dunn as an esteemed member of the Pitt and Pirate cliques, I'm skeptical that it can be better than Canes, Bojangles or even Chick Fil A. I suppose I need to try a Zaxbys

A lot of our test group had Canes #1. Popeyes’ spicy chicken puts it over the top. I love Zaxby’s chicken but their sides are severely lacking. I love CFA, but in the south, surrounded by a ton of fried chicken options, it didn’t really stand out. Except for breakfast, where a CFA chicken biscuit is hard to beat.

I ate at Bojangles once. The biscuit was goddamn amazing. The rest was just ok. I frankly dont even remember anything else besides the biscuit.

Dare I say minus their biscuits, they would be a 40 degree day.

But their biscuits are a thing so...

CFA chicken biscuit and chicken sandwich are far superior to the other sandwich options. Waffle fries are lacking. I like sides at Popeyes. Not sure who I’d place second in sandwiches or sides. CFA lemonade is top drink.
